Studies and Evangelism in Ibadan, Nigeria

Dear Fellow Soldiers of Christ,

Greetings from all of us at Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria (BVBIN) and the Southwest School of Evangelism, Ibadan (SWSE-Ibadan).

Below is a report of some of our activities for the month of June 2026.

FOURTH SEMESTER CLASSES AND TESTS CONCLUDED

The Fourth Semester lectures and tests, which commenced on May 1, 2026, concluded on June 29, 2026, with a total of 33 students enrolled: 20 in Year One and 13 in Year Two.

A total of sixteen (16) subjects were successfully taught by eight instructors at the Ibadan Main Campus, while three instructors handled three subjects at our Satellite Campus in Sabo-Sagamu, Ogun State.

The following instructors handled the subjects listed below:

Brother Eniafe Kayode – Fundamentals of the Faith and Church History

Brother Umoh Sunday – Life of Christ IV (John) and Bible Geography

Brother Akanmu Solomon – Church Leadership and Administration and Foundations of Missions

Brother Oladokun Samuel – Pastoral Epistles and Book of Revelation

Brother Makinde John – Elementary Greek and Islam

Brother Odeyemi Durojaye – Homiletics II (Practical) and Ministry

Brother Israel Tajomavwo – Christian Ethics I and Church Growth

Brother Makinde Ebens – Christian Ethics II (Ethics of Finance) and Homiletics III (Advanced)

Sabo-Sagamu Satellite Campus

At the BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan Satellite Campus in Sabo-Sagamu, Ogun State, Brothers Olowe Bode, Olaegbe Samuel, and Oladokun Samuel successfully handled three subjects from April through June.

WEEKEND EVANGELISM OUTREACH AND OPEN-AIR BIBLE LECTURESHIP

Despite the financial challenges that heavily affected the school during this quarter, we continued our commitment to evangelism by sending students to work with fifteen (15) congregations across the South Western States of Nigeria during the weekends of June.

By God’s grace, these efforts resulted in eleven (11) conversions and fourteen (14) restorations.

STUDENTS COMMENCE FINAL PRACTICUM / TEACHING PRACTICE FOR THE 2025/2026 SESSION

All 31 active students have commenced their final teaching practice assignments across various congregations in Nigeria.

Brother Oviangbede Michael – The Church of Christ, Onikokoro-Ibadan, Oyo State

The remaining twelve students—Brothers Jeremiah John, Chinedu God’spower, Joseph Williams, Joseph Samuel, Afolabi Samad, Tajudeen Samson, Darkwa Douglas, and Sisters Chinedu Faith, Mbachu Faith, Omokpua Blessing, Omokpua Favor, and Omotunde Dorcas—are serving at the Campus Church of Christ in Butubutu, Jago, and Asejire, Osun State.

ABOUT A STUDENT

Brother Oloyede Precious

Brother Oloyede Precious is currently a Year One student at BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan. He was admitted immediately after completing his secondary school education in August 2024.

He was born into the Oloyede family on December 6, 2006, in Ejigbo, Osun State, and was converted to Christ on May 5, 2023, at the Church of Christ, Ejigbo, Osun State.

His goal in attending the school is to become spiritually equipped for Christian service before proceeding to tertiary education.

We sincerely appreciate all our supporters and stakeholders for their continuous financial, moral, and spiritual support. Your partnership has enabled us to continue this important work.

May the Lord richly bless all our collective efforts in Christ Jesus.
