Coordinator visits school in Lesotho, South Africa
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is indeed a blessing to participate in what God is doing in Lesotho and beyond. The school was privileged to host the BVBI Southern Africa coordinator. Two more instructors were added to the staff, and three courses were taught. 16 baptisms were recorded in the past three months. Students testify to the school's impact in their lives.
In April, Brother Donnie Estep visited the school. Brother Donnie arrived on the 12 of April and stayed in Lesotho for 3 days. The Southern Africa coordinator spent quality time with the students. He encouraged them to take their studies seriously, be effective in their communities, and represent Christ in their respective congregations. Students had opportunities to ask questions and engage with him. Brother Donnie preached at Maseru church of Christ from 2 Peter 3:18, growing in knowledge. The coordinator met with the new instructors, Brother Sibusiso Adontsi and Tsabela Mabathoana. Subsequently, the staff had a successful meeting with Brother Donnie. Indeed, it was a great time meeting Brother Donnie.
Our new instructors hit the ground running; Brother Mabathoana taught The Life of Christ and Brother Sibusiso taught the role of youth in the church. The third course, 1 and 2 Peter, was taught by Elder Leuta, the 2024 graduate. The school is fortunate to have dedicated instructors whose sole purpose is to train sound and competent preachers.
Students continue to be impactful in their respective congregations. Some students from Lesotho collaborate with some students from Bloemfontein to evangelise a small town in Thaba Nchu. While other students evangelise in Maseru. As a result, sixteen people were baptised in the last 3 months.
This is what some students have to say about how school has impacted them:
Lesaoana Monyane said, “1. The school is helping me to improve my relationship with God, to draw closer to God, to understand the bible better and improve my knowledge of the Word, and to apply it to my life.
2. The school is helping me to be equipped to participate in the growth of the Church in areas where I can serve. Also to be in a position to encourage other members of the church. In a nutshell, the school is equipping me to better serve in the church.”
This is what Brother Mokone Lelosa had to say, “The school is helping the church by producing better-informed Christians, strengthening biblical teaching, encouraging discipleship and mentorship, and promoting spiritual growth throughout the congregation. As students apply what they learn, the church becomes stronger, more unified, and more effective in carrying out its mission.”
God bless you
In His arms,
