Bloemfontein school balances academics with practical teaching
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Jesus Christ. The BVBI Bloem continues to train sound doctrine and competent preachers. Congregations appreciate BVBI's impact on the church. 10 baptisms were recorded in the last 3 months. Students testify to the importance of BVBI in their lives.
The school is doing its best to equip men with the right tools to grow their respective congregations. At Universitas church, the youth leaders attended the course, and the role of youth in the church and the response were overwhelming. At Motshabi church, the congregation appreciates the school as the church grows numerically and spiritually.
Three courses were taught: Brother Robert Likhang taught Business and the church. The course aimed to train self-reliant preachers who, through their tentmaking, would contribute to church growth. Brother Sibusiso taught the role of youth in the church. Brother Tawanda taught the role of men in the church.
Ten people obeyed the gospel and were baptised, and nine of them are from Motshabi church and one from Taarflaget church.
These are what some of the students have to say about the school's impact on their lives and the church work.
Brother Sam, “1) How is the school - learning God is good all the time; every lesson brings new Godly wisdom and understanding. I also recognise the world differently and Christianity as a responsibility that comes with it. Also actively participating in Bible studies and meditation of the Word of Truth. 2) How is the school - in class, Leadership is an important role in church, as we are responsible for the lives of others (if I stop reading, then stop preaching)
Mentoring and transfer of God's work through the word is key. Evangelism introduces people to God and cultivates spiritual growth and discipline through the word. Sharing of the word with everyone in the church and out there in the world, ensuring that the mission of God lives until the end of time.
Brother Ernest, “My brother BVBI Bloem is doing well. What we learn is:1 who our God is, who we are, which way to please Him, how He speaks to us, how we also speak to Him. We learn His commands and how we must comply.
His kingdom and how to get into it. How it started and where it started. Leadership and offices of God's church and service. Mentorship as a leader to the youth to prepare for them and teach them responsibility for their future Leadership...2. BVBI helped me in all things that I need the Church to grow.
It helped me from theory to see it in the field: practical methods, strategic plan, skills to be used. Leadership skills, objectives to consider for growth! It also helped us to exercise Matthew 28:19-20 as the great commission.
Also, not to be a hearer only but to be the doer of the words (Jacob 1:22). Thanks, my leader"
Brother Vincent, “1. It has helped me think more broadly about the subject matter that we deal with in every class and also on the bible in general as well. It helped me reflect more on myself as a Christian and the aspects I need to work on to become a better Christian. 2. Personally, it has cemented what I have been learning and teaching the Youth about and has validated the fact that I'm on the right track with them and we are not going astray."
God bless you
In His arms,
Tawanda Mwadiya
