BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE - PHILIPPINES
Report: January - April 2026
This report summarizes the academic and spiritual progress of Bear Valley Bible Institute - Philippines from January to April 2026. Over these four months, students engaged in deep textual analysis, historical context tracking, and practical theological applications led by experienced instructors.
This January, I had the opportunity to teach the letter of James and our study focused on the true religion which is faith put into action. Our students explored the practical application of living faith in this epistle.
Mark Reynolds visited our school again this February and we had the opportunity to learn from him and this time from the Prison Epistles. Brother Mark did a great job on his survey and analysis on these great letters. Also, we had the opportunity to meet his beautiful wife, Mindy, as she visited our school for the first time.
During our class in March, our brother Jon Lucius, one of our international instructor successfully taught our students through an intensive study of Jesus's core teachings. The curriculum focused on the structural breakdown of the Sermon on the Mount and the theological depth of selected parables. Students demonstrated strong academic engagement and practical application of the spiritual disciplines discussed.
Our school officially paused its regular academic schedule for the month of April 2026. This scheduled break allowed students and faculty to actively participate in vital summer ministries. Efforts were concentrated on regional summer youth camps and evangelistic gospel meetings. Two of our local instructors and alumni, Danny Torniado and Luisito Oliveros, had the great opportunity to speak and teach in these summer gatherings. Our students were also in attendance to these big events in the local churches. April 2026 summer break successfully shifted our school's focus from classroom learning to field ministry. Students and faculty returned with valuable practical experience and renewed spiritual fervor.
