Evangelism in Nhowe, Zimbabwe
Quarterly Report
BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE – NHOWE MISSION
April – June 2026
Introduction
It is with a heart full of gratitude that we present this report from the Bear Valley Bible Institute - Nhowe. We wish to extend our deepest appreciation to God for leading us thus far and Bear Valley Bible Institute International for your unwavering support and partnership. Your commitment to the mission of training faithful men to preach the gospel is the courage that drives our success here. This report highlights a period of significant academic growth, intensive evangelism, and impactful community service that has characterized our recent activities.
1.0 Daniel And Blaine Visit: A Landmark Educational Experience
This quarter, we were privileged to host Daniel and Blaine from Oldham. Their visit was a profound blessing to the Institute, as they offered their expertise with great humility and grace. A major highlight of this visit was the intensive course on the Book of Romans taught by Daniel. Recognizing the depth and importance of this study, we took the unique step of hosting students from our Harare campus to join the Nhowe students. This was a historic occasion for both campuses, as it marked the first time the two groups sat together in a classroom setting. The students were absolutely thrilled by the collaborative learning environment and the seasoned insights Daniel shared. Additionally, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Blaine for his selfless service. Despite the academic focus of the visit, he found time to visit the Nhowe Mission Hospital, contributing his skills and provide assistance to the medical staff and patients. This holistic approach to mission work—addressing both spiritual and physical needs—was an inspiration to our entire student body.
2.0 Evangelism Outreach: Sowing Seeds In Twist Farm And Beyond
During the April block classes, the theory of the classroom was put into vibrant practice. Our students embarked on a concentrated evangelism outreach targeting Twist Farm, Nhowe, and Berrymore areas. This outreach was characterized by a beautiful spirit of unity. Students joined their efforts, sharing their varied experiences in preaching and personal evangelism to reach the lost effectively. The impact was immediate; local congregations in these areas were greatly strengthened by the presence and passion of the students. The success of this mission has energized the school, and we are already making plans to conduct another outreach soon to continue the work of expansion in these regions.
3.0 Students’ Continuous Practicum: Spiritual Impact At Nhowe
The training at BVBI-Nhowe is continuous and deeply integrated into the local community. Our students are currently doing exceptional work within the Nhowe Mission Schools and Hospital. Through their daily involvement, the students are responsible for:
Leading every Morning Devotion for the schools.
Conducting mid-week services every Wednesday.
Leading worship and preaching every Sunday.
The influence of Bear Valley’s curriculum is clearly visible in the quality of the messages delivered. The "seasoned" nature of their teachings has become a hallmark of our students, demonstrating that they are not just learning facts, but are becoming mature expositors of the Word.
4.0 Staff Appreciation: The Pillars Of The Institution
The growth and stability of BVBI-Nhowe are a direct result of the dedicated men who lead our students. During this quarter, we want to formally recognize and appreciate our staff for their tireless dedication to the work. Special thanks go to Mathew Muchingami, Ishmael Mutichu, Howard Suwari, and Daniel Mayfield. Each of these men made a significant impact this quarter through their teaching, mentorship, and administrative oversight. They are the backbone of this work, and we pray that God continues to bless them abundantly for their sacrifices.
Conclusion
As we look back on the progress made, we continue to appreciate God for His abundant Grace in this work. We pray for His continued blessings upon Bear Valley Bible Institute International and every staff member involved in supporting the Nhowe work. Your dedication is making an eternal difference in Zimbabwe. Further highlights and updates will be featured in our next report.
