80 souls saved in February in Gueckedou, Guinea
GUECKEDOU BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE ACTIVITY OPERATIONS REPORT FOR MARCH 2026
Introduction:
By the grace of God we have ended another month, the month of February and we are here to give you an update of what transpired during the 28 days of activities at the full time Bear Valley extension school at Gueckedou, Guinea.
As usual, there were both indoor and outdoor activities of exams, lectures, radio programs and field exercises of church leaders training, personal and public evangelism. We had great success in all of these. Follow with me as l detail these activities under the following sub-headings:
Classroom:
Upon our return from the year-end holidays in January, we needed to complete the courses reported in January and a brief review before the exams. So in the month of February the students after completing lectures on the course Counseling followed by a brief review wrote their exams. Then we started another course, the book of Revelation to be continued in March. The final results were good for 11 of the 12 students.
Follow up / Evangelism:
During the 4 to 5 weekends of February we were engaged in a lot of follow up works in the many new churches planted around Gueckedou. During this exercise, both our students, staff and some team leaders succeeded in converting additional new souls. Student Antoine Tolno baptized 6 persons at the congregation at the congregation of Yiffo. Also, the team leader of Yaradou Kongonani, Eloi Tolno baptized another 2 making a total of 8 souls during follow up works.
Radio programs:
Our listeners are continuously gaining interest in our messages and so we are making telephone calls to go do a public preaching program in their respective villages. In response, our evangelistic team leaders ensure the ground by a brief survey resulting in what follows below.
Evangelistic teams:
Following the survey of prospect villages around Gueckedou, our team leaders succeeded in planting the following 6 new churches. Before the list of the churches, l like to point out here that the combined efforts of the school, churches and especially the evangelistic teams is doing a very great work here despite the difficult terrain of bad roads.
It is being said here now that "churches of Christ" are all around Gueckedou. Others say "the church of Christ has taken over the territory of Gueckedou."

Church Leaders Training:
With the increase of new churches we have a tough challenge of men to lead those churches in worship and growth. Hence we, from time to time, conduct a one week training seminar to help volunteers lead their churches. Such training was done and ended on Saturday, 27th February. There were 8 men trained for this task. Also a few of the sisters participated in the training.
Conclusion:
To the glory of God the month of February was another successful month of activities at the Gueckedou, Guinea Bear Valley Bible lnstitute. Lectures are ongoing, practical field exercises are being done effectively. The radio programs, though just 30 minutes a week, are of great impact to the community in and around Gueckedou. There were 8 conversions that yielded to the effort of follow up and personal evangelism work.
Eight men have been trained to help lead the new churches. Also two of the sisters participated in the training.
The evangelistic teams planted 6 churches when in total 72 men and women were baptized at the congregations' initial establishments. Putting all the conversions together we baptized 80 souls in February.
