Bear Valley Bible Institute - Liberia

Ganta, Liberia

Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the West African coast and is bordered by Sierra Leone to its west, Guinea to its north and the Ivory Coast to its east. The history of Liberia has been a very challenging one with brutal civil wars, political coups and most recently and most deadly, an Ebola crises.

The establishment of the Bear Valley Extension school in Liberia began with the visit of brothers Steven Ashcraft and Keith Kasarjian on February 15, 2016.  This was the result ofa long exchange of emails and Facebook chats with Brother Robert P. Dahn, Jr. who is now the Director of the school.

During their visit, they met with thirty-eight potential students.  Another forty men with a desire to enroll could not make the meeting because of the far distance in travel. Based on their findings, we now have the Bear Valley Bible Institute - Liberia.

The school is located in Ganta which is the second largest city in Liberia (44,000).  Ganta is the commercial capital of Nimba county which has a population of nearly half a million. The church in Ganta is active and growing but the other congregations in the area are led by untrained men who have a burning desire to learn the truth and to pass it on to others. Therefore, the time has come for Liberia to train local brethren to be preachers, teachers and church leaders so the uninformed masses can hear the sound doctrine of Christ.

With your prayers and support, we can fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ in this part of the world.
