Graduation in Ibadan, Nigeria
Dear fellow servants of God.
Greetings from students and staff of BVBIN & SWSE- IBADAN and my fellow World Bible School Follow Up Workers in the Western States of Nigeria.
Below is the report of some of our August 2026 activities.
FIRST SEMESTER CLASSES FOR 2026/27 SESSION:
To the glory of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The first semester lectures commence as scheduled on Monday August 03,2026 with 21 students(16 Diploma and 5 Advanced Diplomas). Our eight instructors will be on active service handling sixteen subjects for this semester that will end Lord's willing on September 26 before the four weeks break/Vocational Studies.
STUDENTS' TEACHING PRACTICE/ PRACTICUM:
The BVBIN year -2 students return to the school after their two months final Teaching Practice/Practicum while the SWSE -Ibadan (year -1-Students) also return to the school premises on August 02 with the report of 35 conversions and restoration of 51 erring brethren. To God be the glory and honor.
BVBIN DEGREE PROGRAM:
The two weeks of the Sandwich BVBIN Degree Program of August 10-20 were attended by 17 ministers of God across the Southwestern States of Nigeria and one from Delta State. Five of them graduate on August 21 with the BVBIN Bachelor of Theology.
I, Brother Makinde Ebens taught the first week on Advanced Homiletics-2 while Brother Ayobami Akanji an elder serving at the Church of Christ, Isheri -Oshun Lagos taught the second week class on Congregational Development -2.
The next class is slated for December 2026. Lord's willing.
24TH ANNUAL BIBLE LECTURESHIP AND GRADUATION CEREMONY:
This year's annual Bible Lectureship and Graduation Ceremony held at BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN main campus in Butu-London Butubutu Village in Doug Wheeler Events Center and Chad Wagner Hall respectively was graced by over 300 brethren and friends from nine States (Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Ondo, Kwara, Ekiti, Edo and Delta).
Brethren started arriving in Butu-London from Sunday night in preparation for the three day spiritual upliftment that focused on The Unknown God that was handled by sixteen ministers of God among them were two sisters that anchored the Sisters' Conference.
Materials distributed during the just concluded lectureship were 1,000 copies of Voice of Truth Interenational volume 126 ; 4,000 copies of VOTI volume 127; 500 copies of my three books (Ethics of Finance, The Psychology of Christian Personality and Growing A Local Church) and 347 copies of the BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN 2027 Calendar.
The 24th Annual Graduation Ceremony of Successful 17 Ministers of God (6 Diploma, 6 Advanced Diploma and 5 Degree)came up in the noon of Friday, August 21 at Doug Wheeler Events Center. All the graduates were blessed with a package of working tools with special gifts to appreciate seven of the graduates for their service during their studies..
ABOUT A STUDENT:
Brother Olowe Timileyin Bode is one of our BVBIN Degree graduates of August 21. Born in the year 1989 in Osu town, Osun State. Become a Christian in 2005. He is happily married and blessed with three kids. Presently, serving as the minister at The Church of Christ Sabo -Sagamu and the director of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN Satellite Campus Sabo -Sagamu in Ogun State. His mission is Church planting.
CONCLUSION:
We thank the Almighty God for the successful hosting of this year 24th Annual Bible Lectureship and Graduation Ceremony. Also, we thank all our stakeholders and well wishers for their continuous support towards the growth of the Lord's Church in Africa and the world as a whole.
May the Lord continue to bless all our work together in Christ Jesus name, amen.
