Many souls saved in Luanshya, Zambia

Introduction

Grace and peace to you brothers in the Lord, we keep on thanking our God for you and that His work continue according to His will.

Our classes are progressing on well with all our students focused. In this report we have news from northern province where we went for evangelism and meeting with men as leaders in the church. We also have good news from southern and Copperbelt provinces. Our going to the North also presented opportunity to our students to learn at our historical sites and national heritage sites for our early inhabitants. 

We took our students for recreation moments to see the natural wonders of our country at Chishimba Falls 35 kilometers west of Kasama, which is the second largest falls after our Victoria Falls in Zambia. This came after a long study of God's words at our Institute and as we prepare them for graduation.

SOULS SAVED

Before we started our Journey to the Northern province we had a great interaction with the community in Luanshya and Masaiti districts, we had 3 souls added to the sheepfold and 5 restored, another 11 requested prayers from the church. 

NORTHERN PROVINCE

Our journey took place from 25 August and we reached Kasama on the same day after 14 hours of travel. Our meeting and preaching started on the 26th after we rested from our long journey. We were received by the congregation which was established in April this year and has a membership of between 14-32. The place is very fertile for the gospel. 

We met with 54 congregations from 8 provinces out of 10 provinces of Zambia. We were 211 men in attendance. We had lessons for one day and the morning that followed, the rest of two days was spent in the field doing evangelism. One soul was baptized, 3 were restored 11 souls came and worshipped with us as invited guests on the first day of the week. We continued teaching them and left the responsibility to the local congregation.

CHISHIMBA FALLS AND MWELA ROCK ART NATIONAL MONUMENT

On Saturday afternoon on 29th August, we took our students with other church leaders to Mwela Rock Art National Monument. Good lessons were taught by our tour guide about bushmen paintings and survival tactics they lived with. We believe this was a great experience for our students away from the Bible.

Later we moved to Chishimba Falls National Monument to learn the history about the falls which was discovered by the locals in that place, and the great story attached to it. We had good time of refreshment and that ended our Northern tour. After worship on the first day of the week which was 30th August, we started our journey back to the Copperbelt and we reached home the morning that followed, 31st August.

During our stay in the Northern province, brother Cephas Mwamba taught a lesson on " The Power of Unity in the Body of Christ. Later he sent information about the school to all the congregations about enrollment to BVBI-Zambia which is planned after our 5th graduation ceremony on October 10th.

SUVIVAL SKILL

We have started harvesting our fresh maize and cabbage. We are selling some of our production to the community. We are so delighted that our students have learned the production of these vegetables.

They have earned a skill to survive with as they graduate. They also raised broilers during their time at BVBI-Zambia. What they may need is just a start up capital to attach to their ministry as they graduate and go in His Vineyard.

SOUTHERN EVANGELISM

Our former students have continued to work extra hard in the southern part. What is more amazing is that most of the time, they are working as a team. There has been a number of public meetings in the south and our students have actively participated in nurturing the church that side. 

This time at the just ended meeting we recorded 25 souls that were added to the body of Christ and 115 restorations. Gershom Chansa, Clive Kabika, Daniel Kapata and Tryvin Siamachila took the leading role in the activities.

We currently have 5 students from the south. Our prayer is that the province continues to do well in the spiritual life.

SOULS SAVED AND RESTORED

We have recorded 46 new souls added to the church and we have  recorded a total number of 127 souls which were restored in the month of August. May these souls continue to walk with Jesus forever.

A total number of 16 souls were prayed for in the month of August. They are a wonderful additions to the family of God

CONDOLENCES

Beside doing so well in his spiritual life, Gershom Chansa has lost both of his parents in less than 6 months. He just buried his father as we came close in August. Our prayers for him and the entire family.

LESS THAN 33 DAYS TO GO

We are very excited as we see a great day for our current student body to graduate. Our prayer is that all goes well as we prepare and we are expecting to see representation from you brothers.
