AUGUST 2026 OPERATING REPORT

August was a very exceptional and encouraging month for us in Tamale in the year 2026, with a few positive events that took place. We continue to remain grateful to God for all the wonderful things that continue to happen in Northern Ghana towards the progress of His kingdom.

ACADEMIC WORK

Students were in school in the month of August, 2026, but not in the Tamale campus. We have begun collaborating academically with our brethren in the Southern Institute of Biblical Studies this year. So, our students join their counterparts in Accra for learning. It is arranged that next year, the brethren in the Accra campus will also spend some time in Tamale for classes. This is meant to give our students some view of how things are done in these two campuses. It is also meant to help create a general standard of teaching, learning, and practical conduct among these two institutions. From the information we had from Accra, the students are having a nice time together as they exchange ideas.

BAPTISTRY

Glory to God, Brother Steven came through for us in the month of August in assisting us to build a baptistry to aid our evangelistic activities. In Tamale, it is usually a challenge to baptize converts, especially in the dry season. For that reason, we reached out to Brother Steven for his support to put up a baptistry, and he aided us in building a beautiful one. We thank the Lord for his efforts. We pray the good Lord continues to bless him and the many who aid the Lord’s work across the globe.

KPALSI SOUTH CONGREGATION

We were blessed to have brother Steven in the second week of August to visit us, inspire the congregation, and give a very sound lesson. We consider the visit of Brother Steven and any other visiting brethren very important to us as a congregation. Especially brethren who spend their valuable time to prepare and to share the word of God. Our brother taught us a very important lesson on His visit on the 9th of August, which is the first day of the week, both morning and evening. He taught us a lesson in the epistle to the Ephesians, on the subject “walking worthy of our calling.” Brother Steven took his time to talk about all the blessings one obtains coming to Christ, and what is expected of us in response to what has been given to us. This lesson was taught with a series of practical drawings to make it very simple for one to understand. We thank the Lord for his life and his entire family for allowing him to continue to be a blessing to us and the many more Christians across the world.

GENERAL VISITATION AND RECRUITMENT

We capitalized on the visit of Brother Steven to Tamale and went on some visitations and recruitment journeys in the Zabzugu area throughout the second week of the month of August. We went on this journey together with Brother Steven. It was a very fruitful journey. We visited places like Charkododor, Jomoni, Kukpaligu, Gob-Kukani, Perwundo, and Bemormindo. He spoke at all these locations to encourage members, persuade the faithful to arise and work for the Lord, and to convert non-Christians to accept the Lord. In all these locations, people were touched by the word of God.  At Bemormido, 22 souls got converted after the gospel was preached, while another soul was added to the Lord’s church at Perwundo. We give God all the glory for what He has done and is doing across the Northern part of Ghana. At some point in our visitation journey, we had to leave our truck at Bemormido and cross through a running river and use motorcycles to reach Perwundo. The water was around waist level.

Brother Steven, while at Zabzugu, also made time to meet with brothers Fidele and Cephas from Togo to discuss the work in Togo. He had a very successful meeting with them, and they also went to Togo with joy and upliftment.

On our way back to Tamale, we stopped at Kulkpeni to meet with brothers Timothy and Paul, who are both graduates of our school, to discuss the Lord’s work and a proposed plan to start training leaders in the Yendi area for the expansion and strengthening of the Lord’s church.

When we arrived back in Tamale, he encouraged us to work hard for the Lord, and he also helped us with our filing system in the office. The idea in relation to filing is for us to have a more accurate and organised file for each student since the beginning of the school in 2008. We appreciate our brother for all the sacrifices that he makes towards the progress of the work in Northern Ghana and other places.   

EVANGELISTIC WORK

In August 2026, two congregations were planted successfully to the glory of God. The Tamale evangelistic team planted a congregation in the Savannah Region to the glory of God. This congregation was planted in a village called Bilsikura, which is the last village before you enter Buipe on your way to Buipe from Tamale. This congregation was planted with eight members, of whom three were restored converts.

Another congregation was planted in collaboration between the Tamale team and the Kpalsi South congregation. This congregation was planted in a suburb of Tamale by name Gbanyamni. This location is a bit distant from the Kpalsi South congregation, where we have seven members who make their way in and out from there to church at Kpalsi. We saw it necessary to go do some evangelism and plant a congregation there to ease their movements. Three souls were converted at the end, and a congregation was planted successfully.

FOLLOW-UP VISITATION AND RECRUITMENT EFFORTS

We continued with our efforts of recruitment and follow-ups in the month of August, 2026. We are currently recruiting a new batch of students for the next academic year, faithful men for leadership training toward sustaining and having stronger congregations, and denominational leaders solely for conversion classes. Our journey yielded a great result, as we were able to convert a Sabbatarian pastor whom we encountered in July on our first recruitment and visitation journey to the Savannah Region. After that journey in July, we continued to study with him and made good time for him on our second visit, during which we ended up converting him. He is currently worshipping with the congregation at Bilsikura and is going through a lesson guide with us, which has led him to pick a form and be ready to pursue the diploma course.

Glory to God for all that is going on in Northern Ghana.
