Third Quarter wraps up in Mombasa, Kenya

Dear brethren,

Praise the Lord!

We thank God for His goodness and for bringing us this far. We are coming to the end of the third quarter of this year, as we also prepare to usher in a new quarter in a month’s time. Courses taught this quarter are Church History, Intertestamental Period, and now it is closing it out with the Gospel of John. We are glad that the students are committed to their schoolwork as required, as they appreciate that they are gaining knowledge they did not know before. It is pleasant to see them grow in the Word each quarter. We hope that the students will also glean and learn something from the Book of John as well, just as they did in all the other courses. Francis is taking this last class.

Moreover, the students have been doing evangelism. We have had two baptisms this quarter.  Also, a Muslim convert is being prepared for baptism. With the latter, there is no hurrying since he has come from a different background. Paul is tasked with seeing that the Muslim understands the most important concepts of being a follower of Christ and how they are vital. Since converting a Muslim here is difficult and risky, we are extra careful not to endanger his life and family. But we trust the Lord to take the lead and give the increase.

Students are encouraged to give out tracts whenever they are evangelizing in their areas of residence, places of work, and any time they are free. They are given tracts and evangelism booklets in order to make their work easier when they venture out for God.

There are also prospects that we are following for continual studies of Scripture. Moreover, there are several churches that we are trying to restore to the New Testament Pattern of worship. Some are deviating from worship and are trying to register their own entities, while preventing their members from joining the school. On this issue, we request prayers from all the brethren in the Lord’s Kingdom. We are still visiting Churches to request them to let their brothers join the school.

We currently have six active students. Some were carried away by a splinter group here, that that we believe has caused more harm than good. As we struggle to restore the churches, we hope that all will be well, especially in getting more students, as well as having proper worship in these churches in the Biblical way.

As scheduled, our classes still run on a Saturday basis for eight hours. It is indeed beautiful to meet the brethren in class and learn together, which makes us think of Psalms 133 for encouragement. Next quarter will begin on October 6, 2026. We trust God to see us through by His grace.
