Students and Teachers Evangelize in Port Harcourt

JUNE – AUGUST 2026 REPORT

1. INTRODUCTION
We give thanks and glory to God for His continued blessings upon the work of Bear Valley Bible Institute in Port Harcourt and Omoku, Rivers State, Nigeria. This quarter of 2026 has been another encouraging and productive period for the Institute.

Through the dedication of our students, teachers, and supporting congregations, the work of training men and women for effective service in the Lord’s church continues to make progress. We are grateful to God for the opportunities He has given us to teach His Word, strengthen the students, and participate in evangelistic activities in different communities.

2. ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
Academic activities continued steadily throughout the third quarter. Weekly lectures were conducted at both the Port Harcourt and Omoku Centers.

The students have remained committed to their studies and have continued to demonstrate improvement in their knowledge of the Scriptures and their ability to teach others.

We are thankful for their dedication and willingness to prepare them for future service in the Lord’s church.

3. STUDENTS AND TEACHERS EVANGELISM OUTREACH
One of the major activities of the third quarter was the evangelism outreach conducted by the students and teachers from both centers.

Port Harcourt Center Outreach
The students and teachers of the Port Harcourt Center went out to work with the Church of Christ, Mercy Land, Port Harcourt.
This congregation is also connected with the orphanage established and supported by an American brother, Cliff Jarrell. The orphanage attends and worships with the Church of Christ, Mercy Land. Our students and teachers had the opportunity to work with the congregation, participate in evangelistic activities, interact with people, and assist in the work being done by the church.
The outreach provided our students with valuable practical experience as they applied what they have learned in the classroom to real-life evangelistic situations.

Omoku Center Outreach
The students and teachers of the Omoku Center worked with the Church of Christ, Obohia.
The students participated in evangelistic activities with the local congregation, including personal contacts, Bible teaching, and reaching out to people in the community with the gospel.
We are grateful to the brethren of the congregation for their cooperation and encouragement during the outreach.

4. RESULTS OF THE EVANGELISM OUTREACH
We are pleased to report that both centers returned with encouraging reports from their evangelistic activities.

The students and teachers made contact with a number of prospects who showed genuine interest in the gospel. Some of these individuals expressed their willingness to continue studying the Bible and to learn more about God’s Word.

We are especially encouraged that some of the prospects have indicated their desire to continue their studies with the hope of becoming Christians soon.

We understand that evangelism requires patience, teaching, follow-up, and prayer. Therefore, we are encouraging the local congregations to continue following up with these prospects so that the initial contacts can develop into regular Bible studies and, by God’s grace, lead many souls to obey the gospel.

We pray that God will bless these efforts and that the seeds planted during the outreach will produce lasting spiritual fruit.

5. IMPACT OF THE OUTREACH
The evangelism outreach was beneficial not only to the communities reached, but also to our students and teachers.

Our students were able to gain practical experience in personal evangelism, Bible teaching, contacting prospects, and working together with local congregations. Such practical experiences are an important part of their preparation for future ministry.

The outreach also strengthened the relationship between Bear Valley Bible Institute and the congregations with which we worked. We are grateful for the willingness of these congregations to receive our students and teachers and to work together in spreading the gospel.

6. EXPECTED VISIT OF THE INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
We are also looking forward with great joy to the visit of our International Director, Brother Keith Karsajian.

Brother Keith has informed us of his planned visit to our centers. We are very happy about this opportunity and look forward to welcoming him to Rivers State.

During his visit, we will be glad to conduct him around both the Port Harcourt Center and the Omoku Center, so that he can personally see the work, meet the students and teachers, observe our activities, and see the progress being made at the two centers.

We believe that his visit will be a great encouragement to the students, teachers, and everyone involved in the work of Bear Valley Bible Institute in Rivers State.

7. APPRECIATION TO OUR SUPPORTERS
We remain deeply grateful to our supporters, especially our brethren in the United States and others who continue to assist this work through their prayers, encouragement, and financial support.

Your partnership makes it possible for students to receive Biblical training, for teachers to continue developing their abilities, and for our students and teachers to participate in evangelistic activities.

We sincerely appreciate your continued commitment to the Lord’s work and your partnership with Bear Valley Bible Institute.

8. CONCLUSION
The third quarter of 2026 has been another encouraging period for Bear Valley Bible Institute Rivers State. We thank God for the progress of our students, the continued development of our teachers, and the opportunities He has given us to preach and teach the gospel.

The evangelism outreach at the Church of Christ, Mercy Land, Port Harcourt, and the Church of Christ, Obohia, ONELGA, produced encouraging prospects for further Bible studies and future conversions.

We are also excited about the planned visit of our International Director, Brother Keith Karsajian, and look forward to showing him the work at both centers.

We remain committed to training faithful men and women who will preach, teach, and defend the gospel throughout Nigeria and beyond.

May God continue to bless Bear Valley Bible Institute, our students, teachers, supporters, and all the congregations that are helping us in this important work.
