Successful follow up work in Gueckedou, Guinea

GUECKEDOU, GUINEA BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE ACTIVITY OPERATIONS REPORT FOR AUGUST 2026

We bring you precious greetings from the Gueckedou Bear Valley School in Guinea. As usual, we are here to give you a report of the activities of another month, August that has just ended. There were not many different activities because we spent most of the time on visiting new churches to be strengthened. We had lectures in the classroom, field exercises of follow up work and evangelism both by students, staff and evangelistic teams to strengthen congregations and to conduct gospel campaigns.
All went well to the glory of our God and sustainer The details of these events are discussed under the below sub-headings:

Classroom: Lectures on the history books of Joshua to Esther continued from about the end of July unto the very end of August.
The discussions involved students participation at a remarkable level of appreciation.

Follow up and personal evangelism:
Both the students, staff and evangelistic teams workers were all in one way or the other involved in these exercises.
With new churches being planted nearly every month, the follow up work is becoming a heavier challenge. The work was partitioned between all of us, the staff, students and evangelistic teams workers. Some of us included personal evangelism while attending to keep up the especially new churches. This exercise resulted also in the conversion of 16 souls in the various congregations where we spread out to strengthen.

Radio ministry: We are grateful to God that even the rural radio Director and his team now care and desire to hear our broadcast to the extent that they call to remind and or encourage us. The message is ongoing and it's attracting many listeners.

Evangelistic teams: We also conducted 4 gospel campaigns and succeeded in planting 3 new churches in 3 different villages.
There were equally many personal evangelism trips made by the Conakry team in the surrounding areas. In his report, Francis Lavaley, the team leader said we visited Friguiady, Bananera, Vonguifong and barrage Kalé for evangelistic outing". Some 4 families were visited and preached to. Our prayer is for God to give the increase!

For nearly two-thirds of the month from beginning (August 1 to about the 20th), we were engaged in personal evangelism and the strengthening of some of the new churches that were at risk to fall. Campaigns for new planting were conducted during the latter part of the month under review. We succeeded in 3 of the 4 campaigns. Soon we'll be gathering selected men to train them to lead churches. Here are the names of the new churches planted and the initial baptisms in August. The follow up works to these and other congregations have now increased membership.

1. At the Saadou of Gbolodou we baptized 6 persons on 19/8/26

2. At Yillandou of Gbolodou we baptized 7 on 26/8/26.

3. At the village of Nongoa pombo, Gbolodou we baptized 12+9 = 21 persons on 27/8/26

Conclusion:
The Gueckedou, Guinea school is in full swing with all 16 students in attendance. Lectures are progressing. We are all equally on the field for regular follow up and personal evangelism to especially the newly planted churches. Most of August was used for these exercises. We also planted 3 new churches out of 4 campaigns conducted. There were 16 persons baptized during follow up and personal evangelism. Then 34 others were baptized in the 3 new churches. All together the month of August counted for 50 conversions to God be the glory.
