Evangelism Continues in Tamale, Ghana

BEAR VALLEY INSTITUTE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES, TAMALE - GHANA

MAY 2026 OPERATING REPORT

There is absolute joy in serving the Lord. We see the work we do in Tamale as a great opportunity presented to us to serve our master Jesus. Same way there is the need for us to put you in light of what goes on here, so you can have a fair deal of things. The month of May was a blessed one as many glorious things took place.

ACADEMIC WORK

Certainly, with the school on a long break, internal activities did not involve our students. They are expected back to school in the month of July 2026. This is the real time for all farmers to get busy, and most of our students are into farming. We pray the Lord gives them an increase in their farming produce.

EVANGELISM AND ITS RELATED ACTIVITIES

With rains gradually becoming heavy, we direct most of our evangelistic activities towards the development, motivation and training of members in local congregations and locations through seminars and leadership events. We are also directing our activities strategically towards denominational programs which are programs that take place in buildings. However, we are also looking at any opportunity we can find to capitalize on for any evangelistic event to take place. It is our desire to go round the entire Northern sector and the Northern part of Bono Region into areas which are neglected to try to push things though evangelistically.

We were therefore able to host some two days evangelistic seminar at Nbolado (churches between Zabugu and Tatale) in the Northern region to try inspiring brethren towards our duty to the gospel entrusted to us. Brother James Legend was the main speaker, and he spoke on the theme: “why all men (male and female) must submit to God.” With the program attracting unbelievers; the lesson was presented strategically to proclaim the gospel to them, while spelling out the responsibilities of believers as children of God. Four young souls were added to the church at the end of the program

Also, the denominational program at the Nadundo area under Yendi continued in the month of May 2026. Two persons have so far baptized, and many certainly will be converted with teaching now moving into the gospel. Sin has been treated, and God's plan of salvation will be handled, followed by the church, worship of the Church and the judgment of God.

Furthermore, on things related to soul winning and their edification, we continued with the distribution of the Bible purchased to aid needy Christians. Some selected brethren were given some Bibles to help them in their studies and growth as newborn babies. We remain grateful to those who made this possible, especially our brother Steven Ashcraft.

FACILITY (BUILDING MAINTENANCE)

In the month of May, some maintenance work took place in the school. We had some funds released to us by brother Steven to embark on a major painting of the entire school facility. This has since been successfully done. Also, some of the louvers have been damaged over the period. They were also replaced by the help of our brother Steven. We thank God for his life and what he does for the Lord.

KPALSI SOUTH CHURCH OF CHRIST

The local congregation in Kpalsi South in Tamale also continues its benevolence activities towards strengthening of members and goodness towards unbelievers as that pave way for the gospel to be preached successfully. Some few volunteer activities took place. Some were done to needy members while some were also towards unbelievers. It is our hope to deploy all the weapons necessary to help us save the lost.

We thank our Lord His thanks.

Thank you, brother.

James Legend.
