Seminar in Tamale, Ghana

BEAR VALLEY INSTITUTE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES, TAMALE - GHANA

APRIL 2026 OPERATING REPORT

We can never cease to give praises and honor to our Lord and savior Jesus Christ for all the blessings He continually bestowed on us as an Institute and servants of His kingdom. Great things He has done and even more greater things we believe He will do for us in Northern Ghana.

ACADEMIC WORK

The school went on a long break on the 26th of April 2026 to make room for our students to do their farming activities. This happened after they spent four months continually in classes and evangelistic activities from January to the 26th of April. They are to report back to school in the month of July. In the month of April, four courses were taught. These courses include: 1&2 Peter and Jude by Brother Timothy from Yendi, Life of Christ 4 by Emmanuel Balefam, Congregational Development by our able coordinator, Kojo Acquah Beenyi and Research and Writing by Emmanuel Balefam. These courses were all taught within our standard as an institute.  We wish to thank God for the commitment of these faithful men who consistently make themselves available to serve God.

EVANGELISM AND ITS RELATED ACTIVITIES

We continued in the month of April with our denominational program at Nadundo , under the Yendi area, with a consistent participation average of 48 minimum. Everything is moving positively and we are very certain conversions will soon manifest as we are getting into the stage of the gospel and God’s plan of salvation.  This has been a very fruitful encounter with a lot of great promising positive outcomes ahead of us.

EVANGELISTIC SEMINAR: As a way of stirring up brethren to get involved in the great commission, because we are at the verge of starting another evangelistic team in Garinkuka under the Northern Region, near to Saboba, we hosted a three-day seminar on the theme; the real duties of the church. This event brought together both men, women and children in this highly interactive seminar. The program was hugely centered on working sacrificially to save the lost, as Christ sacrificed Himself for us. All who partook in the event were very positive about the need for us to rise and work for our master Jesus. It is our hope things will shape up positively in this part of Northern Ghana as no evangelistic activity is currently taking place there. We are currently working with brother Somason Akum to restore two congregations in this area  while capitalizing on that to establish an evangelistic team to continue with the job there.

LOCAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING BY ZABZUGU EVANGELISTIC TEAM

We have successfully passed out another set of leaders who have gone through some basic doctrinal lessons over a one-year period so they would be more profitable for the work. This passing out was the first time we gave certificates in the Zabzugu area training. We have earlier on already trained about 57 of similar local leaders in the Zabzugu area who are helping congregations to mature in the acceptable worship and other areas. These 10 will bring the number to 67 in total so far. We give God praise.

SOLAR CONVERSION: We wish to appreciate the efforts of Healing Hands International and Brother Steven and the brethren who are making things much easier for us to serve our Lord Jesus in serving humanity. We were able to convert our electric mechanized water pump to solar which has helped reduce our power consumption. This will go a long way to help us supply water to our neighborhood which will project Christ Jesus to them. This will also help us with our dry season or gardening activities. We wish to say thank you all for helping us.

VISITATION

Brother James Legend embarked on a 5-day visitation in the month of April to some of the newest congregations that have been established by the Zabzugu team. Some of the places include Pewumdo, Bimormedo, and Gob-Kukani. We hope to embark on a general visitation to all the five Northern Regions in Ghana, so we can build strong ties where necessary, strengthen and encourage brethren, as well as increase our efforts in recruitment.

We remain faithful to our Lord Jesus. May His precious name be praised.

Thank you, brethren,

James Legend.
