Visakhapatnam, India Graduation
Greetings to you in Christ’s name.
By the grace of God, we are coming to the end of this year and are preparing for our graduation ceremony. I would like to share an update on what is happening with us in the mission field in southern India through Visakha Valley Bible College.
New Facility:
First, let me provide an update on the new facility that we are getting ready to use for running the school temporarily until we acquire a permanent place. We are waiting for Brother Keith to inaugurate this facility during his visit in a few days.
To make use of this facility, as I mentioned earlier, repair work such as electricity, plumbing, and masonry has now been completed. We have two bedrooms, one kitchen, a hall, and yard space which we have converted into a classroom. There is also space provided for dining purposes. After all the renovation work was completed, the entire building was painted, and it now looks fresh and ready to be used for the wonderful purpose of training men to become evangelists.
Graduation Ceremony:
Right after the graduation ceremony, we shall be shifting into the new facility. We sincerely thank the elders of the Strickland Church of Christ for their generous help in making this possible.
While the students are getting ready for their graduation ceremony, they are also completing their required year-end examinations. One very important requirement is to write a comprehensive examination containing 25 questions, where they must provide complete answers to all the questions. It is an open-book test, and these questions cover all the subjects studied during the two years of their training. We are very excited about the scheduled completion of these requirements.
Report from the Graduates:
We also received a report from Brother Srinu, who is working along with his father, Raju Babu, in the Anakapalli District, which is about a two-hour drive southwest of Visakhapatnam. We were pleased to be invited by this graduate to conduct a preachers’ fellowship meeting at their place, and we are looking forward to that wonderful event. We have heard encouraging news about the growing number in their home congregation, as new members have been added to the church through regular Bible studies. We rejoice to see individuals turning away from idol worship and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are happy to share their recent group picture taken at their church meeting place.
On the 8th and 9th, we will be conducting an Evangelism and Leadership Workshop. Brother Keith, the Director of International Schools, will be one of the speakers. On the 10th, we shall hold the graduation ceremony. I have attached the program sheet for your review.
We are overwhelmed with joy as this 8th batch receives their diplomas for successfully completing their two years of Biblical Education and earning their Bachelor in Biblical Studies. At this time, we must thank Brother Keith as well as Brother Mark for their encouragement and guidance.
Appreciation:
Our sincere appreciation goes to the elders and brethren at the Strickland Church of Christ, Lake Houston Church of Christ, and Farmersville Church of Christ. I must not forget Jerry and Puala Bates at this time. Your prayers of encouragement mean so much to us, and we praise God for you every day.
Let us continue this mission together to reach and rescue the lost millions in our homeland. Please share this joyous moment with the rest of the congregation where you worship.
God bless you all.
in Christ,
