Five new congregations in Guinea

GUECKEDOU BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE ACTIVITY OPERATIONS REPORT FOR JANUARY 2026

As the new year 2026 begins, we are excited to bring you an update of the opening exercices, the activity operations for January.

This report will cover the below activities of indoor - classroom and lectures and outdoor - field exercises and the responses of the radio program .

Although the year-end holidays entered into the early parts of the month, we nevertheless achieved our plans.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES

Classroom: After the year end holidays, brother Robert Kamano engaged the students with the course entitled, "Local church development" and there were 12 of the 13 students who returned to continue their studies. Afterwards, bro Antoine Fassa Tolno took them with the book of Hebrews and because of various group and individual exercises or assignments, the lectures continued to the close of the month. All went successful.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

Follow up and personal evangelism:

Observations during follow up works showed that some of the churches needed more attention to be strengthened and coupled with some health changes of some evangelism team leaders, we concentrated on building up the weaker churches by regular follow up works.

Some of our students, such as Antoine and Alphonse who led their colleagues are to be commended. During this exercise we baptized 3 persons while other churches were strengthened. Soon we plan to hold a seminar for training church leaders for the recently planted and weaker churches.

Another follow up work done was the meeting for gospel work discussions held in Conakry on 24th and 25th of the month under review along with bro Steven, the Bear Valley West Africa Coordinator. It was an evaluation meeting to review past plans, efforts applied and what could be best for the future.

Finally, on Monday before Steven's departure the following day, led by Francis and francios we also made a visit to the new congregation at Forekaria in an effort to encourage and strengthen them.

Radio Evangelism:

Our 30 minutes per week gospel broadcast is yielding much fruit on the field as listeners call to appreciate and or enquire for better understanding. Indeed, nearly every new congregation planted has found our regular listeners in those areas. As we speak, there are many villages where we have neither step foot nor known who are our regular listeners.

But all have expressed desire and made requests that we increase the broadcast time to at least 1 hour. They want to ask their questions while we are alive.

Evangelism teamsWhile some of our hard working leaders faced some health challenges and concentrated mostly on strengthening weaker churches, some evangelistic campaigns were conducted. We tried to exhaust our remaining resources in this area and were blessed to plant the following 5 churches:

1. Saleh of Koundou Lengobengou - 21 baptized on14th January 2026.

2. Maffendou of Koundou Lengobengou - 25 baptized on 15th January 2026.

3. Sassama of Gbolodou Sous-préfecture - 6 baptized on 16th January 2026.

4. Badala-kassadou - 19 were baptized on 11th January 2026.

5. Gbondou of Gbolodou sous prefecture - 12 baptized on 31/1/26

Conclusion:

The year 2026 has started well with the month of January introducing a good start of activities.

Lectures went on well though one of the remaining 13 students did not return due to overwhelming family pressure.

In the field of follow up to congregations and Evangelism, we have had very difficult times on rough roads, but souls are precious. So we made it through and baptized a total of 86 souls of which there were 5 new churches planted when 83 were baptized.

We remain grateful to all our supporters and well wishers.

May the year 2026 be one of spiritual and material blessings to the glory of God.
