Nine new congregations in Guinea

ACTIVITY OPERATIONS REPORT FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 AT THE GUECKEDOU, GUINEA BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE

We bring you precious greetings from the USA Bear Valley Bible institute extension in Gueckedou, Guinea.
It is that time of the month again for us to give you an update of what the good Lord has done for and with us during the past month of September 2026. Besides the classroom activities of lectures, there were also a series of outdoor events of students' congregational visits, new churches follow up exercises, evangelistic campaigns and church leaders training. To the glory of God all of these were very successful.
Now let us go into the details of each of them under the following sub-headings:

Classroom: There were 2 courses covered during the month of September, the Acts of the Apostles and Ethics/Christian counseling. Brother François Tengiano from Conakry took the students on the book of Acts.
There was a full participation of the class.

Students' congregational visits: As part of their training, students were sent to visit congregations on weekends to begin practice as future evangelists. During these visits, they also converted 3 souls.

Follow up works: It has become a permanent need to make regular visits of follow up to especially new churches since there is an increase every month. It is usually our evangelistic team members and staff that engage in this exercise and this too resulted in another 8 conversions. Also, the churches in Lola and Fassaba village registered 2 and 3 new conversions respectively.
The number of baptisms under follow for September is 13.

Radio ministry:
This is just a brief but valid preaching program - 30 minutes a week that serves as a channel to lead lost souls to Christ and a regular reminder before our evangelistic teams around Gueckedou get on the field. It is brief, but also serves an important role, a forerunner for the evangelistic teams.

Evangelistic teams: You are aware that in Guinea and especially in the surrounding villages of Gueckedou a lot of gospel work is being done. That by the grace of God nearly every month we plant churches.
The month of September was not different and infact one of greater success - 9  new churches!
One strategy applied by the team leader of Koundou Lengobengou or for short, KLB is that other smaller teams are made, trained and organized so that all of them launch out their campaigns together and result in planting new churches either the same day or just in ''a series of today, tomorrow and the day after''. This is what you will notice on the dates of conversions below.
Also, as a result of the effort of the team in Conakry, the attendance at the small churches in Coyah and Grand-Molin are increasing and l have also registered photos of some of their outings on personal evangelism.
Now here is the list of the 9 new churches planted this September by the evangelistic teams when we :

1. Baptized 10 on Sept 3rd 2026 in the village of Falango, Koundou Susprefecture

2. Baptized 10 on Sept 4th 2026 in the village of Koundou-pombo

3. Baptized 9 on Sept 16th 2026 in the village of Sasakowa, Foedou District.

4. Baptized 8 on 17th Sept. 2026 in the village of Saoule, KLB

5. Baptized 11 on 18th Sept 2026 in the village of Sadia

6. Baptized 25 on 19th Sept 2026 in the village of Dockossou.

7. Baptized 9 on 20th Sept 2026 in the village of Koffian

8. Baptized 25 on 24th Sept 2026 in the village of Fadou, KLB

9.Baptized 16 on 26th Sept 2026 in the village of Kounandou

Total baptisms of the 9 new churches at initial conversions were 123.
Another good thing about these village conversions around Gueckedou is that some of these converts are not only sharing information with their family members in the urban areas of especially Conakry, but are also students who will eventually end up in cities. So, slowly but surely we are also helping to build up the church in urban areas when these students become adults.

Church Leaders Training: ln an effort to reduce the stress of nurturing the many new churches, another week long training was held to train some 14 men who can help lead the newly planted churches in their respective areas.

Conclusion: The month of September was very successful at the Gueckedou school. Classes are ongoing smoothly, students are beginning to do field exercises through follow up at the new congregations. The school staff and evangelistic team members are equally making follow up to other churches while at the same time conducting preaching campaigns resulting in the planting of 9 new churches.
We also conducted and trained 14 men who will help to lead worship services in some of the newly planted churches.
