New students arrive in Lilongwe, Malawi

Hello everyone!

We give God glory and honor for the month of September, 2026. We are always thankful for everything, God has again brought excitement in our hearts as we have good news to share with all of you.

Two ladies, both members of the Church of Christ at Masakamika, stood ready to assist with the moving process as a student family would arrive on campus. Nine families in total trickled in between Thursday and Friday. All were present for  orientation on September 12th. An evening meal was prepared on Friday for the weary travelers. Before they arrived, we knew the names of all the husbands and wives, as well as the children's names. We were able to give them a warm Malawian welcome! They also received a welcome gift consisting of a small stack of firewood and a charcoal cooker.

Orientation:

Before the children had even been on campus for 24 hours, their parents began their orientation to learn more about the school and what would be expected of them. The children remained to play behind the house block with Lancaster Ngulube and Labecca attending to them.

Classroom work:

We too are remembering what it was like to start with a brand new group of students. Matthias taught the Language and Research class so the men could learn to properly use the Library, and know the rules. They practiced their English writing skills and adjusted to speaking and conversing in English. By the second week, I was able to pick up the pace with them as together we studied Acts 1-12.

Lancaster is teaching both of the women's classes for the first 8 weeks. On Tuesday evening, the course is entitled "Christ's Culture." Students were also reminded how to become Christians, how to identify the one true church, as well as living the Christian life. Then we studied the similarities and differences between Christ's culture and Malawian culture. Friday mornings are dedicated to studying the book of James.

Thanks again to all of you who support our work here we are excited to get started!

Isaac Ngulbe.
