BVBI in Kara, Togo, reflects on a Successful Year
MONTHLY REPORT – DECEMBER 2025
Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara, Togo
INTRODUCTION
We extend our warm Christian greetings and sincere appreciation to the entire team involved in God’s work: the sponsors who faithfully support the ministry across Africa, as well as the collaborators and instructors who tirelessly serve in the training of evangelists. Together, you labor for the salvation of lost souls and for the edification of the Body of Christ in the communities where God has placed you.
We give thanks to God for His unfailing faithfulness and for all the blessings He has granted to Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara, from the end of February through the beginning of March 2025. During the past academic year, the Lord worked powerfully through the ministry of the Institute’s students, leading many souls to salvation, with a total of twelve (12) baptisms recorded.
The students demonstrated a commendable level of commitment, while the instructors consistently provided sound spiritual and academic guidance. Although the classrooms remain vital places for acquiring biblical knowledge, it is especially in the field that these teachings bear lasting fruit. In this way, the Institute continues to fulfill its mission: training servants of God who combine solid biblical teaching with practical and effective missionary action.
This vision remains firmly grounded in the Institute’s motto, drawn from 2 Timothy 2:2, which continues to guide and inspire all our training and ministry efforts.

II. Evangelism Activities – December 2025
1. Evangelism in the Community/Village of Kézidè
Throughout December 2025, the instructors and students of Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara continued their regular evangelistic outreach in the community/village of Kézidè, which has been selected as the site for the upcoming annual Bible camp.
Every Friday, teams went into the field to share the Gospel and demonstrate Christ’s love in practical ways. These efforts resulted in:
a. Personal Bible studies conducted in several households;
b. The distribution of brochures, tracts, and biblical materials, helping people better understand the Gospel message;
c. Times of prayer and exhortation with families facing various spiritual, social, and family challenges;
d. Personal follow-up with individuals met during evangelism, particularly young people, with whom relationship-building activities such as football games were organized to create opportunities for evangelism and discipleship.
These encounters opened new doors and generated a growing interest in the Word of God. Numerous follow-up visits were carried out during the month of December in homes reached during evangelistic outings. For the students, each outreach represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen their practical skills, field experience, and ability to present the Gospel in a clear, biblical, and effective manner.
2. Baptisms (2)
The evangelistic efforts carried out during the month of December, and continued consistently, bore fruit. Two (2) individuals obeyed the Gospel and were baptized during the month.
We give all glory to God for these new souls added to the Church of Christ. The students were fully involved throughout the entire process, from the preliminary Bible studies to the spiritual follow-up of the new converts. This experience significantly strengthens their missionary commitment and deepens their practical understanding of the Great Commission entrusted by the Lord Jesus Christ.
III. Student Skill Development Plan
In addition to classroom instruction, students of Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara play an active role within local congregations. They regularly participate in worship services and church activities, where they:
a. Lead public prayers,
b. Direct congregational singing and worship,
c. Preach and teach God’s Word in local assemblies,
d. Assist church leaders in various ministries and services.
This practical involvement significantly contributes to their holistic training by combining biblical knowledge with practical application, leadership development, and a spirit of service. Through these hands-on experiences, students continue to grow in confidence, responsibility, and spiritual maturity, strengthening their preparation for faithful and effective ministry.
IV. Evangelism Outlook and Projects – January and February 2026
For the months of January and February 2026, Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara has planned several strategic activities aimed at strengthening missionary impact and enhancing students’ practical training. These planned initiatives include:
a. The organization of a three- to four-day evangelistic campaign in a targeted area;
b. The continuation and coordination of major ministry activities, taking into account the busy end-of-year and beginning-of-year schedule, including:
1. A biblical evangelism campaign scheduled for December 24–28, 2025, in Kétao or Pagouda;
2. A training seminar for evangelists and students, focused on strengthening spiritual, biblical, and practical skills, planned for February and March 2026;
3. The mobilization and encouragement of local congregations to actively participate in evangelistic campaigns planned in various targeted areas throughout the year 2026.
The objective remains unchanged: to train faithful men who are able to preach and teach God’s Word, to plant new congregations, and to strengthen existing churches, thereby contributing to the growth and edification of the Church of Christ throughout Togo.
IV. Church Restoration and Evangelism Initiative
(Bassar Area – January & February 2026)
In the Bassar area, several congregations were established in previous years through various missionary initiatives. In some cases, these efforts lacked long-term structural support, consistent biblical training, and locally grounded leadership development. As a result, a number of these congregations have weakened over time or discontinued regular activities.
In response, and in close collaboration with local evangelists and the national evangelism coordination team in Togo, Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara is developing a church restoration and strengthening initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to promote sustainability, doctrinal soundness, and local ownership of ministry efforts.
The program seeks to:
· Strengthen and restore existing congregations through sound biblical teaching and pastoral support;
· Assist in the establishment of new congregations where appropriate and strategically needed;
· Identify and mentor local leaders who demonstrate faithfulness, teachability, and commitment to biblical principles;
· Prepare these leaders for future formal theological training at Bear Valley Bible Institute during the 2027–2028 academic years, ensuring continuity and long-term impact.
This approach emphasizes partnership, accountability, and capacity-building, with the goal of fostering healthy congregations that are rooted in Scripture and equipped for lasting ministry.
Conclusion
The activities of December 2025 reaffirm the relevance and effectiveness of the mission of Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara. The two baptisms, ongoing home Bible studies, regular field visits, and the active involvement of students in local congregations reflect a growing and sustainable ministry impact.
We give thanks to God for His continued guidance and provision. We are also deeply grateful to our partners who support this work through prayer, financial assistance, and shared vision. Together, we remain committed to the mission of training and equipping faithful servants, so that the Gospel may continue to spread throughout Togo in a manner that is biblically grounded, culturally appropriate, and sustainable for future generations.
In Christ,
Cephas & Fidele
