Another Church Plant in the works in Maseru, Lesotho

Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The school had evangelism campaigns, and 7 baptisms were recorded. Another church plant is coming up. The students are doing well in their respective congregations.

The school has organized three evangelism campaigns, two in Ladybrand and one in Sehlabeng. They were all executed and yielded good results. In Ladybrand, the whole church, including children, went out for door-to-door evangelism, distributing tracts and WBS materials. About 150 WBS materials and 80 local tracts were distributed. During the campaign, the students had an opportunity to meet a leader of a certain denomination who was keen to know the truth. Several Bible studies were conducted by our instructor, Elder Shata, which led to the baptism of the leader and his wife. The idea is to train this leader to be doctrinally sound at BVBI Maseru so that he remains the leader of this new church. What is fascinating is that he started to teach ‘his church’ what he is learning from the Bible studies. He has allowed Elders from Maseru to go and teach the church. Continuing to pray for this initiative, soon another church will be planted in the side of Ladybrand.

In Sehlabeng, where BVBI students planted a congregation 6 years ago, students had a successful evangelism campaign. Several people asked the students to come and visit them again for Bible Studies. I then realised that more time for evangelism should be created, and some resources should be spared for evangelism. The more students go for evangelism, the more they want to study and become effective in the ministry.

Students rotate to minister in different congregations. Two go to Ladybrand every Sunday, another two to Sehlabeng, two to Sefikeng, and one to Maputsoe. The church in Lesotho and Ladybrand (South Africa) experiences growth because of the impact the school has made. The church appreciates the role the school is playing in unifying and growing the church in Lesotho.

Continue to pray for the school in Maseru.

God bless you

In His arms,
