School in Ukraine continues to Persist

Bear Valley Bible Institute Ukraine Report

September – October 2025

We thank God for another two months of faithful study and ministry at the Bear Valley Bible Institute Ukraine. During September and October, classes were held according to our regular schedule.

Academic Program

During this period, students attended several important courses:

“How We Got the Bible” — taught by Vladimir Paziy

“Deity, Satan, and Angels” — taught by Dmitry Halyuk

“Plan of Salvation and Family Life” — taught by Jim Sherman and translated by Konstantin Kiselenko

At the end of October, our students will go on a one-week evangelistic outreach, followed by a one-week break.

In addition, the Master’s Program classes were held from September 22 to 26, and they went very well. We are thankful to God for dedicated students and teachers who continue to serve despite many challenges.

New Development

We are glad to share that we have developed a new website for the Bible Institute - www.bvbiu.org This online platform will help people learn more about our ministry and will be a valuable tool for future outreach and communication.

Evangelism and Ministry

Praise God, there are still many open opportunities for evangelism in Ukraine. Many people come to hear the Gospel, and the distribution of humanitarian aid helps us reach more hearts.

A wonderful piece of news — just a week ago, two more people were baptized through the ministry of our graduate Vadym, who is now preaching in Poltava. We thank God for him! Vadym is continuing his studies in the Master’s Program, while his wife is enrolled in the Bachelor’s Program.

Current Challenges

Unfortunately, the war in Ukraine continues, and fighting in the eastern regions remains intense. As the winter cold sets in, Russian attacks on energy and heating infrastructure have increased. Many cities face frequent blackouts and interruptions of gas and heat supply.

Despite these difficulties, we continue to record all our classes and upload them to YouTube, so students can watch lessons later when electricity is available. This has been a great help during these unstable times.

Prayer Requests

We kindly ask you to continue praying for the end of the war in Ukraine. At this time, there seems to be no clear path to peace, and the situation remains uncertain.

We are deeply grateful for your support, your prayers, and your generosity that make it possible for us to continue teaching God’s Word and sharing the Gospel throughout Ukraine. Your love and partnership are a great encouragement to all of us.

In His service, Dennis Sopelnyk.
