THIRD QUARTER REPORT – 2025
Bear Valley Bible Institute – Okpanam Study Centre
Third Quarter
November 2025
1. Lectureship Programme
The Okpanam Study Centre, in collaboration with the Church of Christ, Patrick Mariere Street, Okpanam, successfully held its annual lectureship in August 2025. The event focused on the vital theme “Evangelism.”
One of our lecturers, Bro. Jeff, presented the thematic analysis on the topic, describing evangelism as the heartbeat of the church and the divine commission entrusted to all Christians.
The first lecture was delivered by Evangelist Okonta Joseph, Director of the Bear Valley Okpanam Study Centre, on the topic “Evangelism Through the Bible School.” He defined the role of Bible schools in promoting evangelism, explaining that Christian education is a vital tool for equipping men to reach the lost. He further emphasized that success in ministry often begins with sound Biblical training and faithful commitment.
The second presentation was handled by Bro. Christopher Dunia, Director of the Middle Belt Zone and Bear Valley Benin Centre. His topic, “Evangelism Through the Pulpit,” explored how the pulpit serves as a lifeline for the church. He discussed the preacher’s evangelistic mindset, the critical role of preaching in church growth, and some of the challenges faced by ministers in fulfilling the Great Commission.
The lectureship was both inspiring and educational, reigniting the zeal for soul-winning among students, faculty, and members of the local congregation.
2. Academic Progress
During this quarter, students successfully completed the following courses:
• Christian Ethics
• God’s Plan of Salvation (Scheme of Redemption)
• Personal Evangelism
These courses were designed to strengthen the students’ understanding of Christian conduct, the redemptive plan of God, and practical approaches to reaching the lost. Students demonstrated growing maturity and dedication in their studies.
3. Conclusion
The third quarter of 2025 was marked by spiritual growth and renewed focus on evangelism. The lectureship and classroom activities reminded us that the heartbeat of the church is found in the preaching of the gospel.
The Okpanam Study Centre remains dedicated to the mission of Bear Valley—to train faithful men who will teach others also (2 Timothy 2:2). We continue to look to the Lord for wisdom and grace as we enter the next quarter.
