Students in Kara, Togo progress in Academics and Evangelism

MONTHLY REPORT – SEPTEMBER 2025

Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara, Togo

Introduction

We give glory to God for His grace and continued faithfulness toward the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Kara. The month of September 2025 was marked by steady progress in both academic and evangelistic work. The students maintained seriousness in their studies, while the teachers provided close spiritual and academic supervision.

Beyond the classroom, the Institute remained active in the mission field, confirming once again that Bear Valley Kara is not only a center of Biblical training but also a center of evangelistic action. The practical engagement of the students shows that the message learned in class continues to bear fruit in the surrounding communities.

I. Student Follow-Up and Ongoing Courses

The Institute continues with 18 full-time students who demonstrate good discipline, attendance, and a strong desire to grow spiritually and ministerially.

The current courses for the quarter are as follows:

  • Introduction to the New Testament – Nicodème

  • Acts of the Apostles – Cephas

  • Homiletics II – Fidèle

  • The Gospel of Matthew – Fidèle

  • The Ministry of Multiplication – Kpelevi

  • Establishing Biblical Authority – Cephas

Each teacher continues to guide students not only in sound doctrine but also in Christian character development, ministry preparation, and personal application of biblical truths.

II. Evangelistic Activities in September

1. Evangelism in Tchinchinda Neighborhoods

Throughout the five Fridays of September, the teachers and students conducted door-to-door evangelism and home Bible studies in various sections of the Tchinchinda area.

The activities included:

  • Personal visits and Bible studies in homes,

  • Distribution of numerous tracts and gospel brochures,

  • Prayer and encouragement for local families,

  • Follow-up discussions with people showing interest in the Gospel.

Through these efforts, many new contacts were made, and several individuals expressed a desire to continue studying the Word of God with the students. The work has created a strong spiritual impact in the community, and plans are underway for continuous follow-up and discipleship.

4. Baptisms

The evangelistic efforts in September also resulted in two baptisms. We rejoice and give glory to God for these souls who decided to obey the Gospel of Christ.

Students actively participated in teaching, encouraging, and preparing the candidates for baptism. This experience continues to strengthen their faith and their understanding of ministry through real mission work.

III. Fellowship and Student Involvement

In addition to their regular evangelistic fieldwork, students continued to take part in local church services, leading prayers, songs, and Bible readings.
They also organized small group devotions on campus, focusing on spiritual growth, unity, and preparation for ministry.

These activities contribute to the holistic formation of each student — intellectually, spiritually, and practically.

IV. Future Perspectives

Looking ahead, the teachers and students plan to:

  1. Continue the evangelistic visits in Tchinchinda, ensuring consistent follow-up with new contacts.

  2. Extend outreach to nearby villages before the end of the year.

  3. Strengthen the use of evangelistic tools such as brochures, Bibles, and visual aids.

  4. Maintain the spiritual discipline of students through daily devotionals and mentorship.

The goal remains to train faithful men who preach, plant, and strengthen churches throughout northern Togo.

Conclusion

The month of September 2025 was another testimony of God’s work through the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Kara. The combination of solid Biblical teaching and active evangelism continues to produce visible results — both in the classroom and in the mission field.

With two new baptisms, numerous home Bible studies, and the faithful efforts of students and teachers, the Gospel continues to spread in the Tchinchinda area.

We remain thankful for God’s grace and for the partnership of brethren who make this work possible. May the Lord continue to use the Institute to equip preachers and expand His kingdom in Togo and beyond.

In Christ,
