QUARTERLY REPORT – OCTOBER 2025
INTRODUCTION
We are profoundly grateful to God for the successful completion of the third-quarter classes, which also marked our very first quarter in this training. The Abakaliki Centre officially commenced operations on 5 July 2025. This report presents the major developments and activities that took place during the third quarter of the year, covering July to September 2025.
ENTRANCE EXAMINATION AND ADMISSIONS / POPULATION
The first entrance examination was conducted on 21 June 2025, followed by a second on 28 June 2025. Since then, additional entrance examinations have been held as new applicants continue to express interest. At present, the Centre has 28 active students, with two (2) additional students expected to resume in October 2025. We thank God for their zeal, commitment, and willingness to pursue biblical studies and Christian service.
COURSES AND CLASS ACTIVITIES
Academic activities commenced immediately in July 2025. The following courses were offered during the quarter:
Writing – Language and Research (July 2025) – Facilitated by Brother Obeten Okoi Oka, PhD. This course introduced students to the fundamentals of academic writing, language, and research. Special attention was given to the MLA Referencing Style, equipping students with essential skills for their academic journey.
How We Got the Bible (August 2025) – Facilitated by Brother Orji Moses Edwin. This course deepened students’ appreciation of God’s providence in preserving His Word through the centuries, ensuring its transmission to present and future generations.
Scheme of Redemption (September 2025) – Facilitated by Brother Nworie Ogobuchi Omege. This class helped students to grasp God’s eternal plan for human salvation and the lengths to which He has gone (and continues to go) to secure mankind’s redemption.
All courses were delivered in alignment with the Institute’s curriculum and academic standards. Students demonstrated great enthusiasm, active participation, and a deepening commitment to learning.
CAMPAIGN FOR CHRIST / EVANGELISM
In August 2025, the Centre conducted a Campaign for Christ outreach in the Onwe Road area of Abakaliki and its environs. This initiative served both as a spiritual exercise and a practical evangelism training opportunity for the students.
Students were encouraged to take the evangelistic zeal back to their respective congregations, keeping the mission flame alive. Encouragingly, several students in their different congregations have reported conversions as a result of their efforts. Between September 2025, a total of 22 baptisms were recorded across some of the congregations where our students serve:
Onwe Road, Abakaliki – 2
Okpera, Ikwo – 15
Odomowo, Ikwo – 2
Nkaliki, Abakaliki – 1
Nkwagwu, Abakaliki – 2
To God be all the glory.
