Reaching the lost in Wotutu, Cameroon
Dearest in Christ,
Greetings to you from this far end in Cameroon. We thank God for life and the opportunity to continue in the business of saving and nurturing souls daily. It is a business that God has entrusted in our hands, and we are doing our humble best to make sure that the work stands and we will continue to persevere for His glory.
During August I was invited by the organizers of the youth retreat program to speak to the youth. Hundreds of them gathered at Baird memorial college. My assignment was to help the youth to be able to identify Satan's schemes, and to not fall prey to the things that Satan is using daily to try to take the church off of the Holy Spirit inspired path. They had the opportunity to ask a lot of questions that will go a long way to build their faith. I told them to remain firm and to stick with the word of God so that the word shines the light on their path so that by doing so, there will be no way Satan can take the church from the pathway that God has planned for it.
We are blessed to have a dependable mobile speaker for evangelism and a standby motorcycle to run errands and to kickstart many evangelistic efforts in places that our van cannot go for us to evangelize. A couple of students can be on a bike and reach these villages with ease. The motorcycle is doing an amazing job for us. Glory to God!
A few months back we decided that with our Bible Institute, we would start doing more of mass evangelism than separated personal weekend evangelism. We are presently reaching out to souls in the hinterlands and to revive most of the congregations in the hinterlands who were affected by the crisis as most of them were not even worshipping again once the crises settled in their area a little bit. Their doors had been closed, and no one was there ready to open them again and to preach. We are breaking those barriers as a school, to make sure there is total revival. This program is yielding much fruit to the glory of God.
As we go out with the pure gospel to some, we will realize that we have all been late in getting the simple to understand gospel to many. Some will always ask the question, where were you people? We daily take it as our responsibility to speak out the word through the speakers hung on the walls of the Bible Institute to the entire Wotutu and surrounding communities every day from 5 am to 6 am. We are also driving through muddy and stony roads to meet those that can easily transmit the gospel with hope and smiles toward others. It is not easy to accomplish all these evangelistic endeavors, but we do it with smiles and with endurance as we think about the value of the gospel to the souls of men.
Mass evangelism is a powerful tool for the purpose of evangelizing areas with direct campaigns. As we go to different communities, we meet prospective students who admire the zeal in us and who would also love to become preachers. The next entrance exams into Bear Valley Bible Institute Cameroon - Wotutu is slated for the 21st of October 2026. We will be looking forward to recruiting up to 20 more fine students that we shall prepare for full-time ministry in 2027 and 2028 by the grace of God.
Young men in the Wotutu congregation are picking deep interest in missions. They always accompany the Bible students to some mission fields which have mostly been in the hinterlands lately. Please pray for these young men as they are the church and leaders of tomorrow.
