Updates from BVBI in Ukraine

Bear Valley Bible Institute Ukraine Ministry Update (June–August 2026)

Praise God, we are preparing to begin another academic year! For this upcoming school year, we will be focusing on our second-year cohort, with a total of eight students studying in the program. We are deeply grateful for how the Lord is leading this group and for every individual who is part of it.

Among our eight students, we are overjoyed to welcome back our brother Mykola. He was previously mobilized, but after a year of military service, he was medically discharged and is now eager to resume his studies. Additionally, two new students will be joining the program to try their strength and adapt to the second-year curriculum during this upcoming period.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to every person, partner, and supporter who gives so generously to help the work of our institute. We are also profoundly grateful to all the brothers, sisters, and local churches whose faithful involvement makes this ministry possible. As the war in Ukraine continues and the situation remains extremely difficult, we witness so much pain and hardship. Yet, we are deeply encouraged by the churches remaining in Ukraine and by our dedicated partners, teachers, and translators who continue serving steadfastly. God is actively at work through these servants:

Dmitry Galyuk, one of our institute instructors, serves as a preacher at a local church in Chernivtsi. We praise and thank God that they recently celebrated another baptism service in their church family!

Sasha Ratkevich and his family, who also continue their ministry in Chernivtsi, have shared the joyful news that they are expecting a child!

Kostya, our main translator who contributes so much to the institute’s program, continues his ongoing fight against cancer. Please keep him in your prayers for

healing and strength.

Volodymyr Poziy is currently serving faithfully at a church in Warsaw.

Oleg Fafanov is doing wonderful and impactful work in Uzhhorod.

Vadim Primak serves faithfully in the church in Poltava. As a suit of his ministry, numerous baptisms take place.

Please keep all these brothers and their families in your constant prayers. They are carrying a great responsibility for the Kingdom of God in Ukraine during these challenging times. May God’s will be done in all things.
