INTRODUCTION
August has been a month of significant progress and reflection for the Bear Valley Bible Institute Accra Botokura. As we continue nurturing the next generation of Christian leaders, it is crucial to evaluate our current activities and plan for the future. This report is structured around three main points: our radio preaching outreach, staff meetings focused on institutional growth, and the class activities conducted throughout the month. Each segment aims to provide insights into our progress and areas of focus for the institute.
1. TOP RADIO PREACHING
Throughout August, the Bear Valley Bible Institute has maintained a strong presence in the community through our radio preaching program. Our broadcasts focus on key biblical themes and teachings, which resonate with our audience and aim to spread the message of hope and faith. The feedback we received from listeners indicates an increasing interest in our programs, leading to discussions about expanding our reach and content.
2. STAFF MEETINGS
In August, we were privileged to host Steven from America for a series of staff meetings. The primary focus of these meetings was to evaluate how the staff is doing and to assess the progress of the school building project. Each coordinator provided updates on their respective areas, ensuring transparency and collaborative problem-solving.
Additionally, a local staff meeting took place to discuss vital topics, including:
2.1 Recruitment: Strategies for attracting new faculty members and students were discussed, ensuring we continue to uphold our standards of excellence. Upcoming Inauguration.
2.2 Homecoming of Alumni: Plans are underway for the inauguration ceremony and a homecoming event for alumni, fostering community and connection.
-2.3 Budget for 2027: Preliminary discussions took place regarding the budget for the upcoming year, ensuring financial sustainability and strategic investment in our programs.
3. CLASS ACTIVITIES AND COURSES
August featured engaging class activities with five core courses offered:
Biblical Counseling: Taught by E. O. Larbi: This course emphasized practical applications of biblical principles in counseling settings, equipping students with essential skills.
The Book of Romans by Jonas Ashatey: This course explored theological themes within Romans, deepening students' understanding of Christian doctrine.
Hermeneutics 2 by John Acquah: Students developed advanced hermeneutical skills necessary for interpreting Scripture effectively.
Bible Geography by Steven Ashcraft: This course provided insights into the geographical contexts of biblical events, enhancing students' biblical literacy.
Research and Writing by George Osafo: Students engaged in developing research methodologies and writing skills critical for academic success.
Information and Communication Technology: This course aimed to equip students with essential tech skills for effective ministry in today’s digital world.
Each course received positive feedback, and students actively participated in both theoretical and practical learning activities.
