Accra East students complete second quarter

Second Quarter Report - 2026

Introduction

The second quarter commenced on May 1, 2026, the first Friday of May, and concluded on July 31, 2026, the last Friday of July.

During this quarter, the school successfully completed the following courses:

• Hermeneutics I

• Greek I

• Old Testament I

The following course is still in progress and will be completed during the next quarter:

• The Life of Jesus - Matthew

Student Report

The average class attendance during the quarter was six (6) out of ten (10) students. Three of the enrolled students had previously completed these courses and therefore did not participate in the classes.

Overall, the students demonstrated satisfactory academic progress and actively participated in classroom discussions and assignments. The school continues to encourage greater enrollment through regular promotion and awareness. Members are continually encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to enroll and receive biblical training.

Follow-up Visits

As part of our commitment to strengthening the churches we have planted and those we continue to support through evangelism, the school planned follow-up visits to the following congregations:

• Gomoa Asebu

• Awutu Breku-Twiime

• New Atomic

• Akim Subriso

During this quarter, follow-up visits were successfully conducted at Gomoa Asebu and Awutu Breku-Twiime. It was encouraging to see graduates from the Class of 2026 actively participating in evangelism and the edification of these congregations. Their involvement demonstrated the effectiveness of the school's mission of preparing faithful workers for the Lord's church.

At present, the congregation at Akim Subriso requires additional support, and we intend to give it special attention in the coming months.

Church Planting

The Accra East Campus, in collaboration with the Nmai Djorn Church of Christ, has identified two communities in the Greater Accra Region for future church planting:

• Borteyman

• Police City

The plan is to establish one congregation this year and another next year. This initiative has become possible because one of the preachers who graduated from the Accra East Campus has expressed interest in overseeing one of the new congregations. We pray that this effort will contribute to the continued growth of the Lord's church in these communities.

Evangelism

The current students and the 2026 graduates continued their evangelism and edification efforts, particularly at Gomoa Asebu. The congregation continues to require additional support, and the school remains committed to assisting in its spiritual growth through regular evangelistic activities, Bible teaching, and leadership development.

Accra East Campus Update

The new academic year began in March-April, 2026 following the graduation ceremony. A few new students have enrolled, and some returning students who had previously deferred their studies have resumed. However, some returning students had already completed the courses currently being offered and therefore did not attend classes during this quarter.

The campus currently has ten (10) enrolled students, and we anticipate additional enrollment, as several prospective students have expressed interest but have not yet completed their application forms.

Attendance has remained moderate, averaging six students per class. We remain optimistic that attendance will improve as more students complete their enrollment and participate fully in the academic program.

Next Steps

The school plans to:

• Continue follow-up visits to strengthen congregations, especially those in rural communities.

• Expand evangelism efforts into additional communities while continuing leadership development.

• Continue the following initiatives:

  • Church planting in the Greater Accra Region.

  • Lectureship programs.

  • House-to-house evangelism.

These efforts reflect our continued commitment to leadership development, evangelism, and the expansion of the Lord's church.

We thank God for His continued guidance, blessings, and the progress made during this quarter. We remain committed to equipping faithful men for Christian service and advancing the Lord's church through evangelism, leadership development, and church planting. We are grateful for the prayers, encouragement, and support of all who partner with us in this important work, and we look forward to what God will accomplish in the coming quarter.
