SECOND QUARTER REPORT
(APRIL–JUNE 2026)
PREAMBLE
The administration, staff, and students of Bear Valley Bible Institute, Nkoranza Campus, are grateful to Almighty God for His abundant blessings, protection, and provision throughout the second quarter of the 2026 academic year. Despite several challenges, particularly the torrential rains experienced during the month of June, the Institute continued to make significant progress in its mission of training faithful gospel workers for effective service in the kingdom of God.
This report highlights the academic, evangelistic, congregational, and outreach activities undertaken during the quarter under review.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
The second quarter was characterized by intensive biblical instruction designed to equip students with sound doctrine, practical ministry skills, and spiritual maturity.
The Logic and the Bible
Students successfully completed studies in The Logic and the Bible, a course designed to develop critical thinking and biblical reasoning. The course emphasized the importance of logical analysis in understanding and communicating God's Word.
Topics covered included:
- Principles of logical reasoning.
- Deductive and inductive arguments.
- Identification of logical fallacies.
- Application of logic in biblical interpretation.
- Defending the Christian faith through sound reasoning.
- Developing persuasive biblical teaching and preaching methods.
The course challenged students to think critically and carefully examine biblical teachings while strengthening their ability to effectively defend scriptural truth.
Christian Counseling
Students also completed studies in Christian Counseling, which focused on biblical principles for guiding individuals through life's spiritual, emotional, and relational challenges.
Areas covered included:
- The role of Scripture in counseling.
- Counseling individuals facing personal and family difficulties.
- Biblical approaches to conflict resolution.
- Counseling new converts and struggling Christians.
- Encouraging spiritual growth and restoration.
- Ethical responsibilities of Christian counselors.
The course provided students with practical tools for ministry and prepared them to assist congregations and individuals in a compassionate and scriptural manner.
PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS
To enhance academic studies and personal spiritual development, students were provided with valuable biblical study resources during the quarter. Each student received a hard-cover copy of The Life of Christ study material. This resource was distributed to support classroom instruction and personal study. The material provides a comprehensive examination of the earthly ministry, teachings, miracles, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ.
The distribution of these materials is expected to strengthen students' biblical knowledge and serve as a valuable reference throughout their training and future ministry work.
The administration expresses appreciation to all supporters and partners who continue to provide resources that contribute to the successful training of gospel workers.
OUTREACH, AND SEMINARS
Students attended a seminar on Faithful Christian Living held at Asante Akyem in the Ashanti region of Ghana.
The seminar focused on:
- Christian discipleship.
- Spiritual growth and maturity.
- Faithfulness in worship and service.
- Christian leadership.
- Evangelistic responsibility.
- Perseverance in times of trials and difficulties.
The speakers encouraged participants to remain steadfast in their commitment to Christ and provided practical guidance for Christian living in a challenging world.
The seminar also provided opportunities for fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and interaction with brethren from various congregations.
PERSONAL EVANGELISM
Students and staff continued to engage in personal evangelism throughout the quarter. Through individual contacts, home visitations, personal Bible studies, and community outreach efforts, the Gospel message was shared with many individuals.
Students were encouraged to apply classroom teachings in real-life ministry situations, thereby gaining practical experience in soul-winning and discipleship.
These efforts contributed significantly to the development of confidence and competence in evangelistic work among the students.
CONGREGATIONAL VISITATIONS AND RURAL OUTREACH
As part of practical ministry training, students and staff visited several congregations within the region to support the work of the church and encourage brethren. The congregations visited during the quarter included:
Chiraa Church of Christ, Chiraa is located in Sunyani West Municipal of the Bono Region, it a populated area but the church strength is not encouraging.
Activities undertaken included:
- Teaching Bible classes.
- Preaching during worship services.
- Encouraging the brethren.
- Sharing practical lessons on Christian living.
The congregation expressed appreciation for the visit and the spiritual encouragement received.
Another congregation visited is (KMA) Church of Christ
KMA is three towns namely; Kramokrom ,Mallamkrom and Amangoase located along the Sunyani–Techiman Highway.
During the visit:
- Bible classes were conducted by the visiting team.
- Sermons were delivered by students and staff.
- Members were encouraged to remain faithful in their Christian walk.
- Opportunities for fellowship and spiritual interaction were created.
To strengthen the work of the congregation, biblical materials were donated to assist in teaching, evangelism, and congregational development.
The brethren expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement provided through the visit.
SUPPORT FOR PLANTED CONGREGATIONS
In addition to congregational visits, some students were assigned to assist newly planted congregations and mission points.
Their responsibilities included:
- Teaching Bible classes.
- Conducting worship services.
- Preaching sermons.
- Following up on new converts.
- Strengthening local leadership.
- Assisting with evangelistic activities.
These assignments provided practical ministry experience while helping young congregations become spiritually established and self-sustaining.
CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED
The major challenge experienced during the quarter was the persistent torrential rainfall that affected many parts of the country during June 2026.
The heavy rains resulted in:
- Transportation difficulties.
- Delays in travel to some congregations.
- Reduced attendance on certain occasions.
- Interruptions to scheduled outreach activities.
- Temporary disruptions to classroom schedules.
Despite these difficulties, students and staff demonstrated commitment and resilience. Academic work and evangelistic activities continued whenever conditions permitted.

Personal evangelism, Research and Greek
Again we will continue visiting congregations planted though the distances are far but God will strength us to nurture them.
STUDENT'S PROFILE
Brother Agyapong Richard is a student of Nkoranza School, he was born on 30th October 1999 to Mr. Emmanuel Fordjour and Madam Naomi Amoah, both are natives of Fakwasi, a farming community near Nkoranza in the Nkoranza South Municipality of the Bono East Region of Ghana.
Richard began his formal education at Seventh-day Adventist Primary and Junior High School in Techiman Nsuta, where he laid a solid educational foundation. He later continued his secondary education at Yeboah Asuamah Senior High School, also in Techiman Nsuta. Throughout his educational journey, he demonstrated discipline, humility, and a strong desire for personal growth.
On 20th February 2022, Richard obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized into the Lord at Nsuta. Since his conversion, he has remained steadfast in the Christian faith, devoting himself to Bible study, prayer, evangelism, and faithful service within the Lord's church.
Richard currently serves as the Caretaker Evangelist of the Fakwasi Church of Christ, where he works diligently to strengthen the congregation through preaching, teaching, visitation, and encouraging members to remain faithful to Christ. His commitment to the Lord's work has earned him the confidence of the brethren and has demonstrated his willingness to serve wherever the need arises.
He has also actively participated in several evangelistic campaigns and church-planting efforts. Richard played a significant role in the establishment and strengthening of congregations at Buipe, Kyeradeso, and other communities through door-to-door evangelism, public gospel preaching, follow-up studies, and encouraging new converts. His involvement in these mission activities reflects his passion for the Great Commission and his desire to see the Lord's church grow.
Richard's favourite Scripture is Matthew 28:18–20, where Jesus commands His disciples to make disciples of all nations. This passage has become the guiding principle of his life and ministry, inspiring him to dedicate himself to the preaching of the gospel and the salvation of souls.
He is currently unmarried and continues to prepare himself spiritually, intellectually, and morally for greater responsibilities in Christian ministry. He is widely respected for his humility, integrity, teachable spirit, diligence, and love for people. He seeks to lead by example, demonstrating the character of Christ in both his words and actions.
Richard's vision is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, establish faithful congregations, strengthen the church, and help people come to the saving knowledge of Christ through the teaching of the New Testament. He believes that every opportunity to share the gospel is a privilege and is committed to serving God faithfully throughout his lifetime.
With unwavering faith in God and a heart devoted to His service, Agyapong Richard continues to pursue a life of Christian discipleship, evangelism, and leadership. His prayer is that God will use him as an instrument for the advancement of His Kingdom and the strengthening of the Church of Christ.
His favourite Scripture is Matthew 28:18–20
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
His Personal Vision is to faithfully preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, plant and strengthen congregations, and dedicate his life to winning souls for the kingdom of God.
CONCLUSION
The second quarter of 2026 was both productive and spiritually rewarding. Through classroom instruction, congregational visits, evangelistic activities, seminars, and practical ministry assignments, students continued to develop spiritually, academically, and ministerially.
Although weather-related challenges were encountered, God's grace enabled the Institute to continue fulfilling its mission of preparing men and women for effective Christian service.
We remain committed to training faithful servants of Christ who will preach the Gospel, strengthen congregations, and expand the Kingdom of God throughout Ghana and beyond.
