The Gospel is preached in Bikkavolu, India

But the word of God grew and multiplied. And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark. Act 12:24-25

Dear Brethren in Christ, I bring greetings from the students and staff at Bikkavolu Bible College. I pray that this message finds you all well, we praise God for keeping you all safe.

Preachers’ Fellowship Meetings

The Preachers’ Fellowship Meeting is a program designed with four important purposes. First, it helps bring unity among the preachers working in a particular area or region. Second, it provides an opportunity to discuss a Bible topic, where interested preachers can speak and encourage others through the teaching of God’s Word. Third, it encourages and strengthens the local congregation that hosts the meeting. Finally, it provides an opportunity for evangelism by proclaiming the name of Jesus, distributing Gospel tracts, and inviting villagers and members of the community to attend the Gospel meeting, which is often conducted the same evening.

During this recent fellowship meeting, we had a wonderful time teaching about the Deity of Christ based on the Scriptures, helping the brethren understand this important subject biblically. Nowadays, there are differences arising that disturb scriptural unity within the church, as some individuals deny the Deity of Christ. We took this opportunity to emphasize sound biblical teaching and also to announce our Preacher Training Program, where individuals are provided with solid teaching and training in the Scriptures.

We spent nearly a full day discussing this important topic. It was truly a meaningful day of learning, and we are thankful to all the brethren who did an excellent job presenting and discussing the subject according to the Scriptures.

Gospel Meetings

Brother Anand Kumar, one of our graduates, invited us to participate in a three-day Gospel Meeting conducted by their local congregation. Along with the faculty of our Preaching School, I was invited to speak during these meetings, where more than 500 people attended over the three days.

We preached about the blessings found in Christ and about becoming children of God in His spiritual dwelling place. It was a wonderful opportunity to invite people to become part of God’s family. We were encouraged to see so many individuals from surrounding villages attend all three days with great interest and eagerness to learn God’s Word.

We are very pleased to see graduates like Brother Anand and his family faithfully conducting such meetings with the help of the local congregation and other Christians. Brother Anand and his wife also conduct a Vacation Bible School (VBS) each year, and his wife, Kavitha, teaches a weekly Bible class as well.

It is truly a blessing to see our graduates working faithfully to strengthen congregations in various places throughout the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We would greatly appreciate your continued prayers for this work.

We thank God for all the churches supporting the Preacher Training School at Bikkavolu. Through your support and encouragement, we have been able to train capable individuals who are now involved in valuable educational, evangelistic, and edification ministries. We are especially thankful to the elders and congregations at Killen, Tuscumbia, Atlas, and LomaxChurch of Christ for their support and partnership in this work.

Thank you for standing with us as partners in the Lord’s ministry. We pray that together we may continue to accomplish great things for His kingdom. May God richly bless each one of you. 🙏

in Christ,

John Dean Muppidi
