Students and Lecturers Evangelize in Abakaliki, Nigeria

BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE NIGERIA – ABAKALIKI

In Honor of Damon and Krista Cook

Quarterly Report: January–March 2026

Introduction

We are profoundly grateful to God for the successful completion of the first quarter of 2026. This report highlights the major developments and activities at Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria, Abakaliki Center, from January through March 2026.

Courses and Class Activities

During the quarter under review, the following courses were offered:

1. Personal Evangelism I (January 2026) – Facilitated by Brother Reuben Uche Egwu

2. Public Speaking (Introduction to Sermon Preparation and Presentation) (February 2026) – Facilitated by Brother Obeten Okoi Oka

3. Marriage and Family Life (March 2026) – Facilitated by Brother Okpara Paul

All courses were taught in accordance with the Institute’s curriculum and academic standards. Students demonstrated strong enthusiasm, active participation, and a growing commitment to learning and spiritual development.

Campaign for Christ / Evangelism

In January, the Center organized a Campaign for Christ outreach in several locations where student clusters are based. Each cluster evangelized within its local area under the supervision of a lecturer assigned to that location. This outreach served both as a spiritual exercise and as a practical evangelism training opportunity for the students.

Proposed Mega Evangelism

The month of May has been designated for a major evangelistic campaign in the Ugwuachara area of Abakaliki. We anticipate this will be a significant and fruitful effort to the glory of God. We will partner with the new congregation in that area to evangelize the community. We pray that God will prosper our efforts. Amen.

Digital Library

Both lecturers and students have received access to the Digital Library and have already begun putting it to good use. Materials are being downloaded for further study and preparation, and this resource promises to be a valuable tool for greater impact in teaching, learning, and ministry.

Challenge

Two of our students were involved in an accident in February, and one sustained injuries. We thank God for His protection, for recovery, and for their determination to continue despite this challenge. To God be the glory.

Conclusion

We deeply appreciate all who are helping make this mission a success. May the Lord richly reward each one for their sacrifices and labor of love. As we look ahead with faith and diligence, we remain committed to the continued training of men and women for effective ministry in God’s kingdom. With God’s guidance and provision, we stand firm in our mission to equip faithful servants for the Master’s work.

Respectfully submitted,
