Gueckedou, Guinea school conducts successful campaigns

GUECKEDOU BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE ACTIVITY OPERATIONS REPORT FOR MARCH 2026

The Gueckedou, Guinea Bear Valley Bible institute brings you greetings in the name of Christ, our Lord. It is another time again to give you an update of events that transpired here during the month of March 2026. As usual, there were both the indoor and outdoor activities of lectures, evangelism  and a short seminar. Let us look into the details of these.

Classroom: The Gueckedou school is fast approaching the close of the 48 courses for the 2 years of study for the present batch. During the month of March, lectures were conducted to complete the course Revelation by bro Francois and Bible Geography by bro Antoine Fassa Tolno, the Dean of the school. With all the practical exercises the 2 courses carried us to the close of the month. Eleven of the 12 students sat to the evaluation or exam writing.

Follow up Exercises: Many of our students have congregations to which they are scheduled to make follow up works of edification and personal evangelism. This follow up exercise also includes team leaders and the school staff. Congregations are being strengthened and our students are already on the training of other men to carry on worship activities in their respective churches for Sunday services.

Evangelistic teams work: During the month under review, 7 gospel campaigns were conducted, but we were unfortune to obtain immediate baptism results for 3 due not only to stubborn hearts, but in one of the villages, the lack of water for baptism. In 2 of the campaigns, the first and the third there were no candidates for baptism, but the second campaign which was carried out in the only one remaining sous-prefecture of Gueckedou, the sous-prefecture of Guéndenbou the audience confessed Christ and desired baptism, but there was no water in and all around the surrounding territory. We are planning for a return  at an appropriate time to find a solution to the water problem.

Besides the 3 said campaigns which were without immediate baptisms, we were successful in the other four which resulted in the planting of the following 4 churches:

1. Lengo, sous-prefecture of Koundou Lengobengou with 9 baptisms on 1st March 2026.
2. Biendou, sous-prefecture of Kassadou with 11 baptisms on again the 1st March 2026
3. Massamodou, sous-prefecture of Kassadou with 12 baptisms on the 2nd March 2026.
4. Solo ll (Solo 2) with 18 baptisms on 31 March 2026.

Solo 2 is in the sous-prefecture of Guéndenbou, the only one that was remaining to cover all the sous-prefectures around Gueckedou. We are grateful to God for this grace of using us to make Heaven rejoice. The total number of conversions of the four new congregations in March is 50 souls.

Seminar of Evangelistic team leaders: To upgrade the team leaders in their work of evangelism, a two-day seminar was conducted during which period we discussed the challenges on the field and shared experiences of how to obtain success and to note the causes for failure. There were other plans developed for combined evangelism in the sous-prefecture head quarter towns of Gueckedou. The seminar was successful as all the team leaders or representatives attended.

Gueckedou Women Conference: The wife of the Director of the school, sister Mary Musa initiated and coordinated the assembling of a women fellowship of the congregations around Gueckedou. Indeed, she applied a lot of effort backed by the Gueckedou Bear Valley school who allowed her access to one school motorbike and sometimes with a rider to visit the many congregations around Gueckedou. The visit was geared to motivating the women to assemble together for sisterly fellowship wherein they can be taught to identify and exercise their God given talents which they can use to build the church in their respective congregations and the church as a whole in and all around Gueckedou and beyond. It was a 2 day conference held on the weekend of March 20th to 22nd.

There were 2 main facilitators, sister Anne Marie Leno, the wife of the students' Dean, Antoine Fassa Tolno and sister Theresa Gborie Bandiyo, our daughter who travelled all the way from Monrovia, Liberia. During their meeting, they were also able to evangelize 10 other women whom they asked us to baptize and we did.

Conclusion: March activities were successful. Training of preachers and congregational edification are on going. Souls are being saved through the effort of the evangelistic teams and now the women are on the move to strengthen the church through fellowship and teaching during a conference meetings. Together with the 10 ladies converted by the sister during their conference, in total there were 60 baptisms in March. The women, through their initiator, sister Mary say they have a big plan to enhance and distinguish the church in Guinea and so need your prayers and any support possible.

Thank to God and appreciations to you all.
