Successful Activities in Tamale, Ghana

BEAR VALLEY INSTITUTE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES, TAMALE - GHANA

MARCH 2026 OPERATING REPORT

Psalm 116:12 "What shall I render to the LORD for all his benefits to me?" The Lord has done so much for us in Bear Valley Tamale that we sincerely do not know what we shall render to Him for all He has done for us. We are indeed mandated to raise the cup of praises to Him. Thank you Lord, for what you have done, are doing, and plan to do for us. We give you all the glory and honor. The Lord has done a lot, and we wish to report some of the happenings that took place in the month of March 2026.

ACADEMIC WORK

Academic activities continued smoothly in the month of March 2026. We had four courses taught successfully by the grace of God. These courses include Christian leadership by brother Paul Nampaal, 1 &2 Thessalonians by brother Samual Saakuu Baaru, the book of James by James Legend, and Church History by James Legend as well. We thank the Lord for all the successful lectureships that took place in the month of March.

We also distributed the books on the life of Christ to all the students to help them with their work and studies of the life of Christ intensively. Brother Nicolas, who is also a very intelligent young member of the Kpalsi South Church of Christ, also benefited from these books as well.

EVANGELISM AND ITS RELATED ACTIVITIES

The school, together with the Tamale evangelistic team and the University for Development Studies, Dungu campus, embarked on a one-week evangelistic campaign at the campus of UDS and its environment. It was very effective even though we could not have any conversions.

DENOMINATIONAL PROGRAM: We started the denominational program at the Nadundo community in the Yendi area. This program is designed to bring denominational people together to teach them lessons that lead to converting them into the Lord’s church. We have 48 people on average attending throughout the month of March. We are currently teaching the three dispensations, which make a clear distinction between Christianity and the other dispensations. It has been a very wonderful experience for many of them. We had in attendance some leaders of the church of Pentecost, the Presbyterian, and the Assemblies of God. The lesson has been a very interactive one with several questions being asked as well. It is very certain that sooner or later conversions will kick in. We thank God for His guidance.

MOTOR SUPPORT: Also, in the month of March, by the grace of God and the committed workings of our brother Steven and some of the faithful brethren who are committed to aiding the work of God in Africa and other places, another new motor bike was purchased to aid one working evangelist. Brother Samson Akum of the Garinkuka area was privileged to benefit from this motor. Brother Samson was made aware that the motor was for the work of God’s kingdom. He was full of joy and expressed his gratitude to all who made it possible for him to have an easy movement in rendering his service to the Lord’s people and the lost. He said, “I least expected this at this time. I will do all things within my power not to disappoint Jesus for this challenge. I also wish to request your continued prayers for me to remain faithful to God in serving Him till the end. God bless everyone who made this possible.”

BIBLES AND LORD SUPPER BOWLS AND CUPS: By the benevolent act of our brother Steven Ashcraft, we donated some funds to help us purchase some Bibles in both English and two of our local dialects (Dagbani and Konkomba) to aid selected needy brethren in some newly established congregations in Northern Ghana. We thank God for the life of our brother for all he does for Christ Jesus, our master. One box of Lord supper cups and some locally manufactured Lord Supper trays were also inclusive to this package. We are still waiting for the completion of the trays as well as the cups. We thank God.

KPALSI SOUTH CONGREGATION

The local congregation in Kpalsi South continues to do its best towards its responsibilities as a church. We continue with our little benevolent activities in our efforts to strengthen weaker and needy members, as well as bring our neighbourhood to the knowledge of Christ. In practical terms, two of our congregants who gave birth and had some challenges were supported as a means of strengthening their faith.

We also, as a way of fellowshipping with our members and bringing our neighbors together to share the gospel with them, hosted a love feast in the month of March 2026. This brought together all forms of religions and denominational groups, as well as members of the church, which we took advantage of to preach Christ to all the participants at the tail end of the event. We are grateful to God for the grace granted us.

VISITATION

In the month of March, brother James Legend embarked on a three-day visitation to try to network and strengthen relationships with some congregations and preachers in the field. Some of the places include Kanimo, Kulkpeni, and the Yendi stretch through. He had a very lengthy meeting with brother Timothy and some other preachers as well.

We praise His gracious name in all things.

Thank you, brethren,

James Legend.
