Campaigns in Tamale, Ghana

BEAR VALLEY INSTITUTE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES, TAMALE - GHANA

FEBRUARY 2026 OPERATING REPORT

The month of February ended successfully by the grace of God. Below are some of the things that took place at the Tamale Institute of Biblical Studies.

EVANGELISM

The preaching school in Tamale got involved in three evangelistic activities in the month of February 2026. First of this campaign was a joint evangelist campaign to Tumburyiri church planting, which took place between the Tamales evangelistic team, Bole Team and the school in Tamale. This was successful with eight (8) souls converted to the glory of God

From Tumburyiri, the school and the Tamale Team proceeded to Buipe for another church planting campaign. This was a one-week joint campaign between the Tamale school, Tamale team, the Nkoranza school and preachers from the Kintampo area and the Chariot team. We had a very successful program. The gospel was preached, and the seed got sowed. No soul was converted within this one-week campaign. Five brethren were left to stay for another week to do some follow ups. Based on the potentials of success we saw in the community; we quickly motivated a preacher to stay and work in the community with one old member who was worshiping in Tamale from Buipe so he could continue to do some follow ups as we also moved in and out to support him. To God be the glory, three souls have been restored to the church with one new soul converted as well. The church has been successfully planted in Buipe and we are still making efforts to grow the congregation.

The Tamale team together with school upon returning to Tamale, with the preachers in Tamale also embarked on a one-week evangelistic campaign in Tamale town. This campaign was done at the Tamale Teaching hospital area. To God be the glory, the seed was planted successfully. As a way of making sure that the message is broadcast far, we arranged with Filla Fm to cover our public preaching live.

On our way back from Buipe to Tamale, upon entering Tamale town, our bus developed a fault, and when it was checked, the bearing got damaged and has affected several things. We decided to rebuild the entire engine, which is currently in the workshop being worked on. We thank God for the successes.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

We continued with academic work alongside with evangelistic respectively. So, in the month of February, we had three courses taught effectively. These courses include pastoral epistles by brother James Legend, marriage and family life by Daniel Adjei Mensah. Also, there was a bit misreporting for the month of January academic activities. Brother James Legend taught research and writing while the New Testament Church as reported in January was taught in February by Adjei.

SCHOOL GARDEN

Our effort in making the school garden more productive and beneficial to the school continues to work effectively. Across the breadth and length of Tamale, at this time of the year, it is very difficult to find fresh crops. Thanks to God, with help of the well drilled by Healing Hands International, we have plantain doing very well, with a number of vegetables as well to feed our students from that.

Also, we harvested some cassava to make some konkonte as it is locally called in Ghana to support the feeding efforts of our students. It is a great blessing to get some of our food components from our own garden. Gradually, we are moving towards a state where we can also locally contribute to the work.

We give praise for all things happening in Northern Ghana.

Thank you, brethren,

James Legend.
