International director visits Bloemfontein school

Calvary greetings to you all. These are some of the things that have transpired in the last three months. The director of international studies visited the Bloemfontein campus. A new instructor has joined the Bloem staff. The instructors are doing well,as are the students. Four souls were saved.

Bear Valley Bible Institute, Bloemfontein had the privilege to be visited by Brother Keith from the 23rd to 25th of January 2026. On the 23rd, the school director had a great time with Brother Keith, discussing the successes and the challenges the school is facing. It was indeed a fruitful discussion to have navigated the solutions to the challenges. The following day, Brother Keith met the students, encouraged them to be competent. The students had an opportunity to fellowship with Keith, asking questions etc. Brother Keith preached at Universitas church of Christ on Sunday before he flew back. Thank you for your visit, Bloemfontein is your home.

Since the school commenced on 6th September 2024, Brother Robert and Tawanda have been the two instructors teaching at the Bloemfontein campus. Thank God, Brother Sibusiso Adontsi joined the teaching staff. Brother Sibusiso is the youth minister at the Abia Church of Christ. He is also a son of one of the Elders and a preacher at the Abia church in Maseru, Lesotho. It is indeed a blessing to have him on board as he brings the academic and practical experience to BVBI Bloemfontein. In January, Brother Sibusiso taught the course: Community Development and Pastoral Care. More than 20 students and observers attended the course.

The recently planted congregation which is led by one of the students had a successful evangelism campaign in February. This congregation has adopted evangelism and discipleship as her virtue. It is encouraging to see students putting in action what they are learning in class. This congregation is also partnering with the congregations in Lesotho to evangelise Thaba Nchu. Other students are doing well also in their respective congregations. Brother Robert, in February taught the course: The church and Business/Entrepreneurship. Students and observers enjoyed the course and are thankful to the school for these contemporary courses. There are four baptisms recorded by students and instructors.

God bless you

In His arms,

Tawanda Mwadiya
