Students labor in the vineyard in Kisumu, Kenya

Dear brethren,

It is with with great appreciation and much thanksgiving that I write this email.  The Lord has been gracious enough to us when we began the quarter till we had come to the end of it on August 29th, 2025 for September break. The school will resume classes on October 6th, 2025.

Before the break, the students had served 10 congregations in various places. Four of them had, (in two Sundays in a month), served Ndwara church of Christ and baptized three (3) souls into Christ. The local preacher at Ndwara (being untrained), had requested the school to  send students to help him do services. Another student, Daniel Rono, had baptized two (2) souls at Angaset congregation.

Shawn Taylor, the one who has  committed himself to plant, at least, in each year, a new congregation, took with himself 9 students to Bungoma county, Western Kenya. They went there, preached at a funeral of a beloved Christian, distributed Christian literature to the mourners on a Saturday and served congregations on a Sunday. That group of ten, on that Sunday, divided themselves into 3 and served 6 local congregations of the Lord's church in Bungoma. Three, preached to a cluster of 4 congregations at Kamkuywa. Four remained at Lubokha church of Christ while three worshipped/served in the Kamenjo assembly. Two souls were baptised after Sunday services. At Lieta Gospel meeting, three souls were baptized. A total of ten baptisms have been conducted.

We had Michael Reese and Peter Ray Cole teach two short courses: The Gospel According to John together with Marriage and Family. Charles, Phabian and I taught five regular courses that remained.

Thanks so much brethren, keep on praying for the newly baptized souls and KSOP as we do the same for you.

May the Almighty God continue to bless you all,

Your brother and servant

Elias.
