2.0 Practicum

2.1 Evangelism Campaign

From 12–16 November, the BVBIZ team, comprising both teachers and students, conducted an evangelism campaign at Zengeza Church of Christ in Chitungwiza. This effort prepared the ground for the Greater Chitungwiza Lectureship. Many community members were reached with the gospel, resulting in two baptisms and several prospects requiring follow-up. Special thanks go to the resident preacher, Brother Goto, and Brother Tonderai Gonzo for their invaluable guidance and support.

2.2 Greater Chitungwiza Lectureship

The Greater Chitungwiza Lectureship was held from 14–16 November, immediately following the campaign. BVBIZ students actively participated in teaching, preaching, and song leading under the theme “Cheerfully Giving and Serving the Lord.” The organizing committee entrusted the entire three-day program to the school, a gesture deeply appreciated.

The school extends heartfelt gratitude to the Marandure family for hosting the team for five days. Their generosity went beyond hospitality, as each teacher and student received clothing and shoes, including suits. May God richly bless this family for their kindness.

2.3 Weekend Preaching

Weekend evangelism continues to provide students with practical opportunities to apply classroom learning. In November, the congregations at Plasworth and Shurugwi benefited from student-led worship services. Students demonstrated growth and maturity in leading all aspects of worship, showing encouraging progress in their ministerial development.

3.0 Congratulations

BVBIZ proudly congratulates Lovemore Manyanhaire, one of its own, for graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the Zimbabwe Open University. Lovemore serves as the school’s Personal Work teacher and is a valued ambassador of BVBIZ. His achievement is a source of inspiration to both staff and students.

4.0 Projects

The school’s agricultural projects continue to provide fresh produce and practical skills to students. Despite ongoing challenges from monkeys and birds, crops such as butternuts, tomatoes, green peppers, and cabbages are thriving. The onset of rains has reduced the pressure from wildlife, allowing better yields.

Current crops include:

· Butternuts

· Maize

· Lettuce

· Broccoli

· Cauliflower

· Green peppers

· Cabbage

· Tomatoes

Small sales of lettuce, green peppers, and tomatoes have already begun, helping lower food costs while supplying nutritious meals for students.

5.0 Timely Donation

The school received a generous donation from the Raradza family, consisting of 12 single beds, a refrigerator, microwave oven, gas stove, and gas tank. These items met urgent needs, particularly for accommodation and catering during events. Brother Brighton Raradza, a former board member and treasurer, demonstrated remarkable sacrifice and commitment to the school. The donation has greatly improved living conditions, ensuring that guests and students no longer sleep on the floor. The joy and gratitude among the community were evident.

Conclusion

November was a month of remarkable achievements for BVBIZ. Academic progress was successfully completed, practical ministry efforts bore fruit, and the institution received generous support from friends and families. The recognition of graduates and the continuation of projects further highlight the school’s commitment to holistic development. As we move forward, BVBIZ remains dedicated to nurturing students spiritually, academically, and practically, ensuring they are well-prepared to serve the Lord and His church faithfully.
