THIRD QUARTER OPERATIONAL REPORT 2025

 Preamble

To the glory of God, the Bear Valley Bible Institute – Nkoranza Campus, continues to make remarkable progress in its mission of training faithful men to preach and teach the gospel of Christ effectively. The third quarter of the 2025 academic year has been both spiritually enriching and academically productive. The period was characterized by sound biblical instruction, practical evangelism, and active participation in mission programs that align with the overall vision of Bear Valley International Bible Institute.

The campus remains committed to producing competent preachers and church leaders who are firmly grounded in the Scriptures, able to rightly divide the word of truth, and dedicated to the expansion of the Lord’s church across Ghana and beyond.

Overview

During the third quarter, Bible students were diligently taught and examined in three core courses Denominational Doctrine, The Book of Romans, and The Scheme of Redemption. These courses provided a strong foundation for understanding New Testament Christianity, the plan of salvation, and the distinctiveness of the Lord’s church. Students actively engaged in lectures, discussions, and evangelism assignments designed to strengthen both their doctrinal understanding and practical ministry skills.

The campus also participated in major evangelistic activities, including involvement in the Annual Youth Lectureship held in Sunyani, where staff and students contributed to teaching, preaching, and outreach efforts. Through this program and other evangelistic initiatives, fifty souls were added to the Lord’s church, and many backsliders were restored.

The student population at the Nkoranza Campus currently stands at seventeen (17). The students have demonstrated commendable dedication to their studies and spiritual growth, showing steady progress in both academic performance and field ministry.

In preparation for continued expansion of evangelism efforts, feasibility studies were conducted in Akumsa Domase near Nkoranza, which has been identified as a potential site for a new congregation. Plans areunderway to conduct a full-scale evangelism and church planting campaign from 29th October to 2nd November 2025.

 COURSES TAUGHT AND EVANGELISM ACTIVITIES

During the period under review, the bible students were thoroughly taught and examined in the following courses; Denominational Doctrine, The book of Romans and the Scheme of Redemption.

The objective of these courses was to deepen the students biblical understanding, strengthen their doctrinal convictions and equip them with the ability to teach sound biblical principles both within and outside the classroom.

(a)   Denominational Doctrine

This aim at helping students to understand the origin, development and belief of various denominational groups in contrast with the New Testament Church. An emphasis was placed on the restoration plea, the authority of the scriptures, and the unity of the body of Christ. Students were encourage to research different denominational practices, identify scripture deviations and provide biblical responses rooted in sound doctrine.

(b)  The book of Romans

This course provided an in-depth study of Paul’s Epistle to the Romans, emphasis the theme of sin, grace, faith justification and sanctification. The students explored the background, structure, and major theological arguments of the book. Each chapter was studied systematically, with special attention given to the relationship between the law and grace, the role of faith in salvation, and the practical implication of righteous living.

(c )  The Scheme of Redemption

The course traced Gods redemption plan from the fall of man in Genesis to the consummation of salvation in Christ Jesus. It highlighted key covenants, prophecies and dispensations leading to the coming of the Messiah. Students were guided to appreciate the unity of the Bible and God’s eternal purpose for mankind. Emphasis was placed on understanding the progression of redemption from promise, prophecy and preparation to fulfilment and proclamation in the church.

Students showed great enthusiasm and commitment throughout the courses, their participation in class discussions and practical assignments demonstrate a growing maturity in handling the scriptures. All the records have been entered into the database.

Staff and students participated in 24th Annual Youth Lectureship in Sunyani, the Bono regional capital of Ghana, a little over one thousand attended the camp across the sixteen regions in Ghana. Staff and students supported campaigned and the Lord added fifty souls to the His church.

PROJECTION FOR THE LAST QUARTER

As part of the institute’s academic and evangelistic plan for the year, the following activities have been scheduled:

Courses to be studied: students will undertake three courses to further strengthen their biblical knowledge and ministerial competences.

These are;

1.      Christian Evidence

2.      The book of James

3.      Homiletics 1

Evangelism and church planting

In line with the institute’s mission to evangelize and plant new congregations, the staff and students plan to embark on evangelism campaign and church planting exercise at Akumsa Domase in the Nkoranza South Municipal of the Bono region from 29th October to 2nd November 2025. This initiative follows a thorough feasibility study conducted in the community, which revealed the readiness of the area for the gospel. The campaign will involve open air preaching, personal evangelism, house to house bible studies and follow up sessions.

The primary objective is to plant a new congregation of the Lord’s church in the area and provide continued support and nurturing for the new converts through regular visits and teaching programs.

Expected Outcome                                                                                                               

(a)   To enhance students understanding of the scriptures.

(b)   Practical field experience for students in evangelism and church planting.

(c)   Establishment of a new congregation at Akumsa Domase

(d)   Strengthened collaboration between the Nkoranza campus, nearby congregations and mission partners.            

STUDENT PROFILE

Sister Patricia Agyeiwaa is one of the three females’ students of Bear Valley Bible Institute Nkoranza campus. She was born on 29th March 1993 in Nkoranza, she is married to Mr. Sampson Amankwah they are blessed with two daughters. Her parents are Mr. Daniel Agyei and Madam Florence Sarpong all of Nkoranza in the Bono East of Ghana. Sister Patricia baptized on 15th June 2013 at Nkoranza Breman church of Christ.

She had her basic, second cycle and tertiary education in Nkoranza and Techiman, she did a two-year certificate in Women’s and Children ministry at Nkoranza Bible College and attended Sunday school Teacher’s seminar organized by Sister Karen Ashcraft wife of Bro Steven Ashcraft, West Africa Coordinator for Bear Valley.  She is a devoted Christian woman and nurtured by her parents and members of the church.

Professionally, Patricia is a skilled Hair Stylist with a Bachelor of Education degree, reflecting her dedication to vocational, theology and academic excellence and commitment to Christian service and personal development.

Her favorite quotation is Romans 12: 18. “If it is possible , as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone”

Patricia’s vision is to know much about the word of God and help fellow women and children to also know and understand God’s intention for humanity.
