Our challenge

Some of the students who dropped out did so because of transportation, while others had personal challenges. We have reached out to them, and they promised to start in January 2026. It is our sincere prayer that God will enable them to come back to school.

Effort to get more students

We are honestly worried by the number of students at the two centres, especially DSC. We are making an effort to get more students.

We have circulated letters to congregations around to step up awareness about the school. Some congregations have invited us to personally speak with them about the school. We have attended to this and are looking forward to more invites.

We have also placed an advert on two radio stations. It runs on Tuesdays at 10:05 am local time on Kpoko FM and same time on Fridays on Crown FM. While the former is done in Nigerian (pidgin) English, the latter is done in King’s English. The advert will run for three months (October to December 2025). So far, this effort has yielded two students. We are grateful to God for this.

Appreciation

We are grateful for the opportunity given to us by the brethren in America to serve in this concerted effort to spread the gospel to the lost and entrench Biblical literacy in the brotherhood.

Final thought

It is our earnest prayer that God continue to keep the Bear Valley family as they expand the vision of Biblical literacy in a world that is fast losing regard for Biblical doctrines.

Regards,

Onoriode Okugbe
