Bermuda Report
The Bear Valley Bible Institute of Bermuda is officially open. The school in Bermuda was in the planning stage for about one year. The local director, Keithlyn Fleeming, approached me in July 2024, while at the Annual Caribbean Lectureship, about starting the school. One of the main reasons for the school was to ensure the continued growth and steadfastness of the church in Bermuda. There are sixteen full-time students, and most of them also have full-time jobs. The class meets on Tuesday and Thursday nights, as well as on Saturday mornings. Each class lasts for four weeks. The teaching staff will comprise local teachers, as well as teachers from the United States and Trinidad. It is an exciting time for the church in Bermuda and for the strengthening of the body of Christ. The class meets in the Brighton Hill Church of Christ building. Most of the classes will be taught by international teachers via Zoom. The Zoom class enables interaction between students and teachers.
The official opening took place on September 14th. Keith Karsarjian and I traveled to Bermuda and met with the director and the students. We also had the privilege of speaking at the Brighton Hill congregation on Sunday morning. After the services, the church hosted a luncheon, allowing us to have several one-on-one conversations with the students, and elders. It truly is a blessing to have the school in Bermuda and to see the potential growth of the congregations. Please pray for the students and the future development of the church.
