Kathy Pollard becomes the new Dean of Women in Denver

Another exciting change at Bear Valley this year is the addition of Kathy Pollard as the Dean of the Women's Program. Kathy is an accomplished speaker, teacher, writer and personal worker. She is often sought after throughout the Brotherhood to speak at ladies days and on lectureships. Kathy is a graduate of Faulkner University and has also authored the newly published book, “Return to Me: What to Do When Loved Ones Fall Away.” She is a contributing writer for Come Fill Your Cup and writes her own weekly blog, "Life and Favor." She is the co-founder and co-director of Higher Ground Encampment, a week-long Bible camp for teen girls, and has served as one of the instructors in the Women’s Program for the past 5 years. Kathy is the wife of Neal Pollard, the pulpit preacher for the Bear Valley congregation.

While we are saddened at the loss of Sheryl Turner, who along with her husband Bob have moved to Louisiana to be closer to family, we are thrilled that Kathy has agreed to take on this new role.

We also have a new Women's program instructor, Carla Moore. Carla will travel to Denver with her husband John (also a new member of the Bear Valley Faculty) and will teach Successful Parenting. Carla is also an accomplished speaker and teacher and will add new depth to the Women's Program classes.
