Uploading and Using Images in your Reports and Posts

One of the features that has changed in the new web system for the BVBID site is how pictures are handled in posts. While it takes a little getting used to and doesn't have all the features the old system had, once you get used to it, it works very well. Here is an article that will walk you through how to add images to your posts and how to manipulate them once they are added.

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT DUMP IMAGES STRAIGHT FROM YOUR CAMERA INTO THE WEBSITE. Images taken by most cameras today are far too large to be added to the website efficiently. Please edit the images prior to posting and set the resolution to 72 pixels per inch and a maximum size of 1000 pixel on the longest side (The would create an image that takes up the entire width of the website page). Most images should reduced to 300-500 pixels on the longest size for best results.

Adding Multiple Images to the Same Post

If you have a number of images (more than 3 or 4) you want to add to the post, consider using the Gallery Block. This tool allows a number of different presentations for multiple images. Here are instructions for using the Gallery Block:

I hope these are helpful for you in posting on the new website.
