Making the most of opportunity in Malawi
We wish to report some of the events that have taken place in the month of August.
STUDENTS
Students are on break through the month of August. we are expecting them back "the week of September 13, 2025".
GOSPEL MEETINGS
We had an opportunity to attend some gospel meetings during holiday. There we had the privilege to announce the 2026-2027 school calendar.
Here are some of the meetings which were in the following districts.
1: Mzimba:
The meeting was in Mzuzu city where there were thousands and thousands of people.
The lesson was about a blameless and harmless Christian in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.
2: NKhata Bay- district :
The meeting was in the northern part of Nkhata Bay where there were 600 people.
The lesson was about Jesus and His Church.
People who attended these meetings were interested to hear that we support the whole family. They took special notice of the fact that when a husband is in class, the wife will be looking after the family [that is Especially kids and house chores] and when her turn comes to be in class will be vice versa. There will be strong bond between them.
Since that time, the school has been receiving calls inquiring more information asking about the school, classes, how to enroll and etc.
STRONG COMMUNION CUPS
We made 580 cups during the month of August. These cups were made from plastic bottle tops , and they have been distributed to 11 congregations within Malawi.
We remain sincerely grateful to Bear Valley family for your support of the school in Lilongwe.
Thanks,
Ngulube
Evangelism brings results in Accra, Ghana
OVERVIEW
This report outlines the activities conducted by the Bear Valley Bible Institute in the month of September. The focus has been on our weekly radio preaching and a dedicated week of evangelism in Gyimakrom, near Bogoso Western part of Ghana.
RADIO PREACHING
Throughout the month, we successfully aired a series of sermons every Tuesday on Top Radio, focusing on the theme "The Difference Between the New Testament and the Old Testament." Each session aimed to educate listeners about the fundamental distinctions between the two testaments, emphasizing the continuity and fulfillment of God’s promises through Christ.
IMPACT:
Feedback from listeners has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a deeper understanding of Scripture. Calls and messages received during the broadcasts indicated a keen interest in further discussions and clarifications on the topics covered.
EVANGELISM IN GYIMAHKROM
From 22nd to 29th September, a dedicated evangelism team was deployed to Gyimakrom. The week-long outreach was aimed at sharing the Gospel and engaging with the local community.
Throughout our stay we evangelized the nearby communities like Bobkrom, Adadekrom, Kabutey camp and Gyimakrom being our main target
Activities Included:
Daily open-air preaching and Bible studies.
Distribution of tracts and literature on the teachings on the death of Christ.
One-on-one evangelism efforts in homes and community centers.
Daily Bible studies at the church premises
BAPTISMS
The evangelism efforts culminated in five individuals who baptized to give themselves to Christ, signifying their commitment to follow Christ. In addition about ten (10) brethren also were restored and brought back to Jesus.
By the special grace of God, on that Sunday, Church of Christ Gyimakrom was established.
This is also by way of informing you about our new congregation.
Bro Stephen Kwabena Gorman, one of our this year's graduate is the preacher. Let us continue to remember them in our prayers.
CONCLUSION
The month has been fruitful for Bear Valley Bible Institute Accra, with significant progress in both our radio ministry and evangelistic outreach. The positive responses from our listeners and the baptisms in Gyimakrom are testimonies to the effectiveness of our efforts.
Next Steps
Follow up with the newly baptized individuals to ensure their integration into the local church community.
We thank God for His guidance and the support of our partners and donors who make these endeavors possible.
May the Lord bless our endeavors as we strive to fulfil our mission.

Working for the Lord in Luanshya, Zambia
SEPTEMBER 2025
Report
INTRODUCTION
We send greetings to you brethren in the name of our Savior and only Lord Jesus, as we send this report for the month of September, we are so happy for what the Lord has done in our lives as the Institute even as we interact with the world. We have exciting news concerning the leadership meetings that we have had both locally (as Luanshya District and as a Province on the Copper belt), a survival skill being taught to our students and practical work is also yielding much fruit.
We have also included more exciting news on what our Alumni are doing at present and congratulating one of them for his achievement in education.
AGRICULTURAL SKILLS
Our current student body has continued to show their earned skills in Agriculture by working at our school garden. We have planted cabbages, tomatoes, onions and maize. We sold some cabbages and the money was used to expand the field. The second field for cabbages is now ready. Thanks to the students who are working so hard beside their busy schedule in class.
The other two evangelists (our former students Rodrick and Mainza) are also working and sustaining their lives as they preach from the same field. What is more interesting is people in the community are coming to learn more on Tomatoes, cabbages and winter maize growing.
Then slowly and quietly people have began to attend church services. In Mikomfwa some young men have been baptized as a result of the meetings which always began by preaching the gospel.
MEETING WITH LEADERS IN LUANSHYA
We often have quarterly leadership meetings in our district and they are held from one congregation to the other. We begin in rural places or villages and rotate the meetings, sometimes these meetings are held at our institute premises. As Preachers we learn from the Bible in 1 Cor.1:10 “…and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought”.
We now have the same doctrine in 6 of the congregations out of the 7 planted in our district; one is swept by Pentecostalism and we are doing the best we can to preach sound doctrine, by this our meetings are bearing fruit. We have attached to this report the pictures of these meetings.
MEETING WITH LEADERS ON THE COPPER-BELT PROVINCE
We have continued to meet with leaders on the Copperbelt Province in order to foster unity in the body of Christ. This year the center of this meeting was in Chingola district where also gospel meeting is expected to take place in 2026. We meet with about twenty – forty leaders representing churches on the Copperbelt Province and in these meetings we as teachers of the gospel are making headway in attaining the unity.
We also anticipate a good gospel meeting being planned for next year to be a success.
GRADUATES AT BVBI-LUSAKA
We witnessed a colorful graduation ceremony in Lusaka Province at BVBI-Lusaka were Brother Fred Kanangu was the Guest of honor. It’s their first ever graduation in four years time since the Institute began. Twelve students graduated and the new intake has since begun, we just wish our sister Institute a great success.
BAPTISMS AND RESTORATIONS
We have recorded nine (9) baptisms: Four in Copperbelt Province and three from Southern Province where Daniel and Gershom preach. We also recorded 2 from the Northern Province where Ishmael Kanyangala is preaching.
We have recorded a total number of twenty-four (24) restorations for the month of September.
CONGRATULATIONS
We are so happy to announce the graduation of our former student by the name of Simon Nkhazi who graduated with a best student’s award. Simon graduated from one of the reputable University in our country in registered medicine; he has been a very active person in evangelism in Lusaka Province and wherever he had gone for practical work in his field. All that remains is his glorious conduct in the service of Christ which he has promised.
Conclusion
When we remember Christ’s glorious love and His immeasurable sacrifice for our sins! That graphic display of sacrificial love should ever overshadow any excuse we might ever be tempted to make to fail to do what He commands us to do. Calvary showed us in no uncertain terms that He earned that right! Let’s go and do the preaching. Take up your cross and follow Him.
Thank you brethren for your commitment to His work! Indeed the way of the cross leads home! Blessings always in His Name.
In His service,
Cephas and Fred

GUECKEDOU BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE OPERATIONS REPORT FOR AUGUST 2025
The Gueckedou, Guinea Bear Valley Bible institute family brings you greetings in the precious Name of Christ, our Lord. We are grateful to Almighty God and we appreciate you all for your partnership in our work of preacher training and evangelism. With that, we have the obligation to give you an activity report again for the past month, August 2025. There were not many activities also because we were on break for about 2 weeks and are just resuming classes this September. Notwithstanding, there were the usual indoor and outdoor activities of lectures, personal evangelism, follow up works and some evangelistic teams campaign exercises all of which resulted successfully. Here are the details below.
Classroom:
Before rounding up for a 2 weeks break, brother François Tengiano was with the students giving lectures and practical exercises on Evangelism Il. All 13 students kept on the race and the lectures were successful. Thereafter, the students were released not only for the rains, but also to enable them during their resting period to engage in some of their own family affairs.
Personal evangelism and follow up works:
As usual, evangelism is a regular routine exercise and many preachers are thereby engaged in it while others especially the Bear Valley staff and students include that with the follow up work to new churches and those of our students. Two of four evangelists who converted 7 souls during the month of August were Bear Valley staff who baptized 3. The third and fourth were the team leader of Ouende Kenema and brother George of Lola. They also baptized 4 at 2 different times.
Evangelistic teams:
There were in all 5 new churches planted in the Nongoa and Koundou Lengobengou sous-prefectures.
These are the churches planted:
1. Felo of Koundou Lengobengou sous-préfecture, 6 baptized on Aug 2, 2025
2. Dangdou of Nongoa sous-prefecture, 15 baptized on Aug. 6, 2025.
3. Tongolo of Koundou Lengobengou sous-préfecture, 10 baptized on Aug. 11, 2025.
4. Diyan of Koundou Lengobengou, 6 baptized on Aug. 17, 2025.
5. When the 5th campaign was interrupted by the rains and prospects reached a discussion for the team to return the following weekend, one family considered that a week later would be too far and therefore called a day later and requested to be baptized. So the brethren returned on early Sunday morning and baptized 6 persons, most of which were members of the same family in the village of Lelah which is also in the sous-prefecture of Koundou Lengobengou. We are making plans not only for a return to the village of Lelah, but to make a general follow up during the months of September and October of all newly planted churches.
We truly appreciate all your prayers and support as we do our part in expanding the Lord's kingdom in this part of the vineyard.
Conclusion:
Gueckedou Bear Valley Bible lnstitute has ended one year which is half way of the 48 course study with the 4th batch of 13 students. We continue with follow up work to edify existing congregations and planting new ones. The work is being enlarged as new churches continue to be planted. During the month of August, follow up and personal evangelism efforts baptized 7 souls. The evangelistic teams planted 5 congregations when 43 souls obeyed Christ. The total conversions of all our combined efforts for August summed up to 50 souls.
Once again, we truly appreciate all your prayers and support in this great work of preacher training and evangelism.
Until the end of September when you will hear from us again we pray that each of us will continue to benefit from the grace of God.

AUGUST 2025 OPERATING REPORT
The month of August 2025 was a remarkably busy month. The Lord made all things work effectively for us for His glory. We were engaged in academic and some agricultural activities as we are doing our best to explore opportunities in farming to aid the Lord’s work.
CLASS ACTIVITIES
We continued with our academic activities very smoothly in August by the special grace of our dear God. Diligent studies are what makes men approved by God Himself as stated by the apostle Paul in second Timothy 2:15. This then placed a great charge on us with the opportunity presented to us by Bear Valley and brethren who care for the Lord’s church to learn and study hard so we can be tools that can effectively be used by our Lord Jesus in His Kingdom to save those who are yet to come into His kingdom. The lost must be saved at all costs, and the best way to save the lost correctly is to rightly divide the word of truth which Bear Valley has presented a great opportunity for us.
So, in the month of August, four courses were lectured successfully. These courses include Intertestamental period by our coordinator (Kojo Acquah Beenyi), How we got the Bible by Kwasi Odame, Old Testament three by Dickson Anonza, and Hermeneutics two by James Legend. We are grateful to God for the service all these men offered in helping shape brethren to serve their maker more effectively.
SCHOOL GARDEN
We had a great harvest of peanuts in our school garden for the first face of farming that we have done. The rains really were on point, and the crops did well. We harvested the peanuts and had five bags, which will be stored to aid the feeding of our students. We continue to thank God for those who conceived the vision of purchasing such a large parcel of land for this great project of training preachers and mission work.
We have also replanted maize on the same land with the hope that God will give us good rain. It is the blessings of God that makes us rich, and we know that any hard work, eats according to God’s word (2 Thessalonians 3:10) and we are certain that once we do a good work, the Lord will bring the increase.
We have also started preparing a portion of the land for vegetables and irrigation work. It is our prayer that the Lord will give us the wisdom and strength to make the best of what He has given us in Tamale and Northern Ghana.
RICE FARM
In the month of August, we went to our rice farm to control the weeds and throw some fertilizer to support the crops. It was a beautiful experience for our students to visit the rice farm for the first time. We had a lovely time as they were extremely excited. The rice looks very promising. All we need now to have a good harvest is good rain. We wish to request that you keep praying with us for favorable rains and weather.
NEW FREEZER PURCHASED
We wish to express our joy and gratitude to all who are making it possible for the school in Tamale to move very smoothly. We are grateful to God for their lives, especially our able international coordinator (Steven Ashcraft), Ghana coordinator (Kojo Acquah Beenyi), Bear Valley International working team, and all our sponsors. As our plan is to manage the school more effectively, especially the feeding of our students, we grew a lot of okra and vegetables, and it was necessary to store them for future use. We reached out to brother Steven for a freezer, and the funds were made available to us in August and the freezer was bought. We have stored some food in it for future use.
MAINTENANCE WORK
Portions of the ceiling of the school facility were damaged and needed some replacement and maintenance work. Funds were made available, and some wood and plywood were purchased, and it was done successfully in the month of August. Some replacement work was also done on some of the nets of the doors and windows. We bless God for the support you continue to give to us. We hope that in the future we can also do some painting work on the entire facility to help make it more presentable.
DONATION
There is a proverb in Ghana that says a little drop of water makes a mighty ocean. Brother James Legend embarked on a two-day visitation to the Zabzugu area where he visited village congregations, and a donation of firewood was made by a couple in the Salinkuka congregation to support our means of cooking for our students. This is an incredibly positive sign towards support for the Lord’s work. We pray God bless these couples to grow and do more for His kingdom. It is our hope that congregations and individual congregations will grow to see the need to support the Lord.
We praise the Lord for all the wonderful work He does for us all.
Thank you,
James Legend
Evangelistic Campaign in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Hello Brethren,
We are still counting blessings from our Mighty God of Heaven, praying for each other to make spiritual meaning of our life before God everyday.
Dear Brethren, we continue well with our three classes of Bear Valley in Dar es Salaam. With some of 35 students who are attending class every Saturday and one class (Monday and Saturday).
We still have 4 Teachers (Iddy Nyabusani, Justine Rwaha, Essau Ruheta, and Leonard Kihwele) who are teaching in a rotational timetable. These teachers are becoming more competent every year and are important pillars in the Churches in Dar es Salaam and some of Churches in Tanzania.
Last month, August 2025, was a very lovely month to us as Evengelists. We had 5 Saturdays, and as usual, we did an Evangelism campaign on the 5th Saturday. We practiced how to teach others the Christianity life and invite others to Christ as our School's Motto related to 2 Tim 2:2.
"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."
We pray for the school's activities and all Bear Valley Schools all over the World, so that it could continue to comfort the World until all hear the truth. Amen
Ombeni.

· MENSAH Akovi Espérance : Church implantation
· ADJAHO Kokou : The Preacher and His Work
· EMALA Germain : Ancien Testament 2 – Histoire : From J
· KPODENOU Rodrigue : The New Testament Church
· KOUMA Kodjovi : Ancien Testament La Loi from exodus to deuteronomy.
· KOUDJODJI Pascal : secretary.
I want to remind you that in our school in Lome, we have 5 courses every quarter of five months to teach.
It is because we have our classes every monday, tuesday, wednesday and thursday from 06 PM to 09 PM.
At the end of the quarter, every student will pass his exams to demonstrate that he understood the courses.
Here is a brief biography of student Adam Fousseni.
He is from a town in central Togo called ANIE. He was born on December 31, 1998, and is therefore 27 years old. His entire family is Muslim. He was born into Islam and grew up in this worship until 2021. He converted to Christ while listening to our radio messages. These messages led him to us, and following the teachings on the gospel of Christ, he was baptized. He is currently single and works as a salesperson in a shoe store. He is very committed to Bible studies and has already brought at least four souls to Christ since he began his Bible training with us. He is a brother on whom we rely heavily for the proclamation of the gospel to lost souls.
From September 5th to 7th, a Bible camp for young brothers of the Church of Christ in Togo was held in one of our villages called YOBO. We held a local assembly with one of our teachers, ADJAHO as its evangelist. Two of our students (ADJABLI Kossi Mensah and ATILA Koami) participated in this camp with two of our teachers (KOUMA Kodzovi, ADJAHO Kokou) and myself. On Sunday, September 7th, I taught the young people and the entire Church about premarital procedures.
We continue with door to door evangelism in the district of Segbe Akato, for the implantation of a new local church in collaboration with the local church at Nukafu in Lome. We will still be there on Friday, September 12th and Saturday, September 13th, for evangelism and tracts distribution. And on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, we planned to start the new local assembly. From September 1st to 2nd, 2025, we organized a seminar with all the evangelists trained at the Bear Valley School in Kpalimé and working in the GRAND KLOTO area. There were 21 evangelists.
The seminar's topic was: "The Christian and the Ceremonies of Traditional Religion" (burial, funerals, dowry, traditional festivals of different ethnic groups, positions of customary leaders, etc.). The solutions to these topics focused on the Biblical text in Col. 1:12-17. We noted during the seminar that we will have to teach our members serious biblical teachings against the idolatrous practices of traditional religion.
Dear brother, I want to make it sure to you that before the end of the training of our students, many souls will be converted to the Lord’s church.
Thank you sincerely dear brother.
May God bless you very much for your efforts towards us in Togo.
Your brother Espérance from Bear Valley Lome.
Students in Nkoranza, Ghana continue Evangelizing
BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE INTERNATIONAL NKORANZA CAMPUS, GHANA
REPORT FOR SECOND QUARTER 2025
PREAMBLE
Bear Valley Bible Institute Nkoranza is located in the Nkoranza South Municipal of the Bono East Region of Ghana. Nkoranza areas have the largest number of the Lord’s church in the then Brong Ahafo region, now Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo regions, but most of these churches are not manned by trained preachers. When Bear Valley came on board, most of our students are now supporting congregations around. We are grateful to God Almighty and our benefactors for the support.
OVERVIEW
Nkoranza Bible study center is notable for evangelism and church planting. It has been rainy for almost the whole period, which has affected our planned gospel campaign activities. Some students and staff relied on radio and other information centers to expand the gospel. Hoping to have favorable weather in the coming months. Two new students have been admitted to the school. They are brother Felix Lomo, a 46-year-old who has been a member of the Lords church for the past 30 years, and brother Thomas Amponsah, a retired educationist, a member for 38 years. They were enrolled in early June 2025.
COURSES AND EVANGELISTIC ACTIVITIES
As of the end of the second quarter (June, 2025), our students have completed and examined Life of Christ II, III, & IV. Their results have been entered into the students’ database. As indicated earlier, the rain pattern is not favorable for public campaign activities but rather good for farming, in all staff and students were able to record a number of baptisms at our various places of worship.
Interestingly, a founder of a church known as the Overcomers Christ Church at a town called Anyinasu near Sekyere Dumasi, who had been listening to messages preached, got baptized into Christ and converted his church to Church of Christ. Two other members, a male and a female, were also baptized. It was all joy on that faithful day when selected staff and students, together with other ministers, officially worshiped with them. We are expecting more baptisms in the coming weeks.
PROJECTION FOR NEXT QUARTER
As an evangelistic school, we are hoping to propagate the gospel to other areas in the Bono East Region and beyond. We did feasibility studies in three areas to do gospel campaign and possibly plant new churches in Akumsa Dumasi and Akropong, all in Nkoranzah South Municipal. These two towns have a larger population, plans are far advanced to accomplish that mission should the weather change. It’s our prayer that God will continue to bless our benefactors to help train more preachers, plant more churches, and edify the saved.
CHALLENGES
As reported in the first quarter, the only laptop used to prepare reports is malfunctioning, which affects timely reporting. Again, we are lacking a projector, a screen, and other equipment for evangelism.
Brother George Borah, whose house was gutted by fire within the first quarter, is seeking assistance. Staff and students mobilized some relief items to support him. He is still not stable-minded. Please remember him in prayers.
STUDENT’S PROFILE
Brother Stephen Kyeremeh is currently acting as a Preacher for Dromankese Church of Christ. He was born on 7th July 1991 at Dromankese in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono East Region in the Republic of Ghana. His parents are Mr. Kwaku Asante and Madam Afia Afrah, both of Dromankese. He had his basic education at Dromankese and subsequently completed his secondary education at Chiraa Senior High School in the Sunyani East Municipality of the Bono Region. Brother Stephen got married on 4th of May, 2025, to Sister Janet Asamoah. The wedding was colorful; in attendance were staff and students of Bear Valley Nkoranza, Ministers of the gospel, as well as members from various congregations. Aside from the preaching jobs, he is into buying and selling. He occasionally planted foodstuffs as well. He loved doing the work of God and soul-winning for the church. His favorite quotations are John 8:32 and 1 Cor 15:33. Brother Stephen Kyeremeh baptized on 30th December, 2012 at Dromankese in Nkoranza North District of the Bono East Region. He is very punctual in class, he likes submissions, and is always eager to support others when the need arises. He is a fan of Manchester United FC in United Kingdom and locally supports Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC in Ghana.

QUARTERLY REPORT ( JULY-SEPT) 2025
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
We are always thankful to God and exceedingly grateful for being found useful in the service of equipping the saints for the masters work and for your unflinching support to us in this ministry.
We will continue to put in our best no matter the challenges that come our way.
STUDENTS
We have a total of 32 students on record now, but 15 and sometimes 17 are totally dedicated to studies.
Some of them are affected by distance, few due to ill health.
OUTREACH
We collaborated with preachers in Owerri zone to evangelise Egbu town in the outskirts of Owerri, also the congregation we've been trying to revive at Umuago town, which we have visited, we will be having an open-air evangelism there in partnership with the gospel chariot if things go as planned by the end of this September. We are still working on the traditional ruler of the community, a new convert who left the church because of crisis, to come back to faith.
UPCOMING EVENTS
We are organising a preacher’s workshop which will come up on October 1st 2025, in collaboration with Amaigbo street congregation.
This is because there is much need to keep training the preachers here through seminars and workshops to help equip those who are not our students.
BAPTISM
Within this period, we had a total of 9 baptisms, including a denominational pastor, his wife, and one of his church members, also a family of four surrendered to Christ in one day.
There are some congregations here that are having crisis due to false teachings, the school here is more like the pathfinder here, and we have successfully restored peace in some of the congregations, while still working on others.
We seriously request for your prayers in this area as false doctrine is spreading seriously.
We want to sincerely thank you all for finding us useful, we assure you that we must keep the flag high and your confidence in us will not be in vain while you pray for us.
May God continue to bless and keep you all as you work for Him.
Yours because of Christ,
Chinedu Akandu

THIRD QUARTER 2025 REPORT
From Bear Valley Bible Institute, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, West Africa
INTRODUCTION
We give thanks to God for His grace and blessings upon the work of the Bear Valley Bible Institute (BVBI), Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The third quarter of 2025 was a period of great activity, spiritual growth, and fruitful labor in teaching, learning, and evangelism. Both our teachers and students were actively engaged in the classroom and in the field as we continue to fulfill the mission of training preachers and spreading the gospel of Christ.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES AND STUDENT PROGRESS
We are pleased to report that another set of students successfully completed the 48 required courses and 3 elective courses. They are now awaiting graduation. Transcripts are currently being compiled and will be forwarded to Brother Chad Wagner for review and approval. Upon completion, diplomas will be awarded, and we will proceed with preparations for our third graduation ceremony.
The outgoing set has created space for new admissions, and we are already receiving and training new students.
ADMISSIONS AND CAMPAIGN FOR NEW STUDENTS
In July 2025, the Director and teachers of the Institute began a visitation program to congregations across Port Harcourt to encourage and recruit new students. The response has been very encouraging, as congregations have warmly welcomed us and expressed support for the program.
This visitation effort has continued through September 2025 and will run until December 2025. By God’s grace, we have already admitted new students who have begun attending lectures. We are confident that these efforts will ensure steady growth in enrollment and the expansion of the Lord’s work.
STUDENTS AND TEACHERS’ EVANGELISM
In August 2025, our teachers and students carried out an evangelism outreach in the Omachi Rumuodomaya community, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The team preached the gospel from house to house, in shops, and on the streets. Gospel tracts and bulletins written by the Director, Brother Anthony Oluria, were distributed.
At the end of the outreach, reports were compiled, and names were collected of those who expressed interest in baptism as well as those needing further follow-up studies. We believe that this evangelistic effort will bear fruit for the kingdom of God.
APPRECIATION TO SPONSORS
We remain deeply grateful to our sponsors in the United States of America for their continued financial and moral support. Your sacrifices are producing great results and success in training gospel preachers and expanding the work of the Lord in Nigeria. We pray that God will continue to bless you abundantly as you share in this labor of love.
FUTURE PLANS AND NEEDS
Looking forward, we are preparing for:
- The third graduation ceremony for our outgoing students.
- Continuation of the visitation program for student recruitment until the end of 2025.
- More evangelism campaigns in different communities.
We humbly request your continued prayers and support as we move forward with these plans for the glory of God.
CONCLUSION
The third quarter of 2025 has been fruitful and encouraging. With God’s help, and with your steadfast support, the Bear Valley Bible Institute, Port Harcourt, will continue to train faithful gospel preachers and strengthen the Lord’s church in Nigeria and beyond.

BVBI in Umuahia, Nigeria, Celebrates its Beginning
Introduction
I am excited to have been graciously considered worthy to lead a center of the Bear Valley Bible Institute.
This first quarter of existence spanning July - August 2025 has been sweetly challenging.
Since the terrain was not a familiar one, every approaching moment was filled with anxiety, not knowing exactly what would be the outcome. I give God the glory that it's now history and BVBIN is on ground in Umuahia, the Abia state capital.
When the green light was received from the Bear Valley Bible Institute, concerted efforts were made in search of a local congregation to host the institute, followed by sensitizing the churches around of the coming of the school. The results were very encouraging as follows:
1. The church at 75, Bende Road Umuahia accepted to release their facility to the school to start there
2. Students enrollment soared up to 20 and still counting.
3. Entrance examination was conducted on Saturday 14th June, 2025.
4. On Saturday June 28, 2025 we held an orientation exercise for the students now numbering up to 25.
Orientation Program
It's worth mentioning that the students' orientation program which took place on June 28, 2025 was graced by some older directors namely: brothers Anthony Oluria from Port Harcourt study center, Chinedu Akandu from Owerri study center, Solomon Usim the NIATS Director, who also represented the EPC brother Tim Iwe. The main matriculation ceremony will take place by the first quarter of next year 2026 God willing.
4. Classes began on 5th July, 2025, and since then we have had uninterrupted class sessions to the glory of God.
The first course: Reading and Research Methodology was taken by brother Orji Onyeanulam. The 2nd course - How we got the Bible was taught by brother Anayo Ohama. The turnout on the student's side and participation in the studies had been very impressive.
Evangelism Outing
The month of August 2025 had 5 Saturdays. On the second Saturday of the month being 9th August, 2025, we spent the whole day on the evangelism ground, reaching out to the lost with the gospel of Christ. It was a memorable outing.
Setting Up the Center
Also of note is the acquisition of chairs and tables for students and teachers, white board and markers, as well as a filling cabinet. All of them were obtained with the empowerment from the Bear Valley Bible Institute international board for which we are grateful. They have and are making the learning environment more conducive. Both students and instructors are excited and go about the studies with much enthusiasm.
Summary
I wish to express my profound gratitude to the International board and the various levels of the management personnel used to plant the BVBIN in Umuahia center and graciously appointed me as the director.
So far everything is moving on as scheduled. We look forward to increased evangelism activity in the Umuahia zone and beyond because of the fact that BVBIN is with us now.
Students Kara, Togo Celebrate Academic and Evangelistic Successes
MONTHLY REPORT – AUGUST 2025
Bear Valley Bible Institute – Kara, Togo
Date: September 5, 2025
Introduction
We give glory to God for His grace and faithfulness toward the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Kara. August 2025 was a month of blessings and progress, marked by the resumption of classes in a spirit of seriousness and commitment. The teachers provided close supervision, ensuring not only the transmission of solid Biblical knowledge but also mentoring students in their spiritual growth, Christian character, and preparation for ministry. At the same time, the evangelistic activities conducted by the Institute show that what is learned in the classroom is immediately applied in the mission field. Thus, the Institute continues to be both a center of Biblical training and a driving force for evangelism in the region.
I. Student Follow-Up and Current Courses
The Institute currently has 18 regular students, demonstrating discipline, attendance, and commitment both in their studies and in practical activities.
The six courses for the quarter are:
Introduction to the New Testament – Nicodème
Acts of the Apostles – Cephas
The Ministry of Multiplication – Kpelevi
Homiletics II – Fidèle
Establishing Biblical Authority – Cephas
The Gospel of Matthew – Fidèle
Teachers provide close supervision and encourage students to apply the Word in their personal lives and future ministry.
II. Evangelistic Activities in August
1. Campaigns in Bohou-Tozidé
During the first three Fridays of the month, teachers and students conducted evangelistic campaigns in Bohou-Tozidé, which included:
door-to-door evangelism,
personal Bible studies,
distribution of brochures and Christian literature.
These activities allowed students to put their lessons into practice and share the Good News with many families. We believe these seeds will produce fruit for Christ.
2. Support to the New Church in Tchinchinda
During the last two Fridays of the month, the entire team (teachers and students) traveled to Tchinchinda, where a Church of Christ has recently relocated. The local population was very welcoming. Brochures were distributed, and door-to-door evangelism was conducted. Several promising contacts were made, and we hope to witness baptisms soon.
III. Participation in the Youth Seminar
On August 20–21, 2025, students participated in the Youth Seminar of the Churches of Christ in the Kara region, held at the Kara-South congregation. Their presence was an encouragement to the youth and an opportunity to share their faith and Biblical training.
General theme of the seminar: Teaching Christian values to the youth
Sub-themes addressed:
Chastity
Forgiveness
Contentment
Friendship
Self-control
Objective: To raise a pure and strong youth for a better future in an immoral world.
IV. Perspectives and Mobilization
Teachers and students are working on a program of evangelistic campaigns to be presented in September. This plan aims to intensify evangelistic efforts and the planting of new congregations, especially in the North.
Promotive Ideas for Mobilization
Strategic vision: Target towns and villages in the North not yet reached by the Gospel.
Teamwork: Involve students, teachers, and local congregations in the campaigns.
Missionary tools: Strengthen the availability of brochures, Bibles, and visual aids for preaching the Gospel.
Follow-up of contacts: Provide regular teaching and spiritual mentoring for new converts.
Youth involvement: Encourage young Christians to actively participate in campaigns in order to prepare a dynamic missionary generation.
VI. Baptisms
The evangelistic work bore fruit during the month, with four people obeying the Gospel through baptism. We give glory to God for these new souls added to the Church. The work continues with perseverance, and we believe that more will soon come to the Lord through ongoing evangelism and the spiritual follow-up ensured by students and teachers.
Conclusion
The month of August 2025 confirms that the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Kara is both a school of Biblical training and a missionary center of action. By God’s grace, we continue to train men who preach, plant, and strengthen churches. With the mobilization of brethren and the support of local congregations, we believe that new churches will be established in the North and that God’s kingdom will continue to grow to His glory.

BVB Ukraine Graduates Evangelize in the Area
Report BVB Institute Ukraine– July–August 2025
At the BV Bible Institute Ukraine, we are currently on summer break, and classes will begin again on September 1st. The new academic year will continue in an online format due to the ongoing full-scale war in Ukraine. This year, we are thankful to God that six students will be studying with us: four brothers and two sisters.
We already have a schedule prepared for the first semester, and most of the teachers will be serving from Ukraine. All of our sessions continue to be recorded and are available on our YouTube channel.
We thank the Lord for His work in Ukraine. The churches of God remain active, and our students and graduates continue to lead people to salvation. While this is all the work of God, we rejoice to see how effectively He is using our graduates in ministry.
We especially want to highlight the ministry in Uzhhorod, where brother Oleh Fofanov is serving faithfully. In Poltava, brother Vadym baptized a significant number of people this summer. In Chernivtsi, brothers Oleksandr and Dmytro are working together in fruitful ministry. Praise God for these encouraging results! We see clear evidence of the impact of the Institute’s work through the lives of our graduates.
At the same time, there is still no ceasefire in Ukraine, and the war continues. We kindly ask you to join us in prayer for peace in our country.
As for my family, we remain in Germany in a safe place, and we are thankful to God for His protection. Together with other brothers, we continue serving online and supporting the work of the Institute.
Thank you very much for your prayers, support, and care for the church in Ukraine. May the Lord richly bless you.
With respect and gratitude,
Denys Sopelnyk

REPORT OF THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND THEOLOGICAL STUDIES/ BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE – NIGERIA
NTIGHA- ONITCHA
AUGUST 2025
INTRODUCTION
The month of August was a month of preparation, rearrangements, and getting acquainted with the new students and the environment. We are just thankful to God for the new entrants. We are also thankful that the old students returned to school safe and sound. As we reflect on the gains of the past month, we pray for grace through the new month. There is much to do and there is work on every hand.
ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES
On the 15th of August, the instructors held a management meeting to enable the school to navigate the new semester. Courses were allocated and the calendar for the new session drawn. The lecturers have since started classes, and the new students are excited. The students are introduced to outlining books and term paper research. The new students are getting used to the environment fondly called “The Valley of Strong Men.” We are grateful for all the support that has kept the school as a going concern.
RESUMPTION
The school vacated on the 25th of July. The student went home for the short holidays. On the 12th of August 2025, the students returned to school. It was exciting to watch the older students return. Some of them have been elevated to the student leadership. This was done to prepare them for the incoming students. As of the time of this report, there are twelve new students. They are very excited to be here and we give thanks to the Almighty God for the new intake. There is expectation that more students will come in before the close of admission. Please keep us in your prayers. It is thrilling to report the first female student ever in the history of NIATS/BEAR VALLEY resumed this session in the person of Miss Hope Teikere. She completed the senior school certificate examination at an early age. She could not proceed to the university immediately. She opted to study the Bible while waiting to attain the relevant age.
LIBRARY
The library continues to grow. The Director bought some books on “Preacher Training and Church Growth.” Another set on the “American Ancestry of the Churches of Christ.” The largest set came from Chad Wagner. The books include volumes of “Truth for Today” and copies of Kerry Duke’s works. We are thankful for the books so far secured. Gradually, the library materials will be up to date. The interesting thing is these books are current works. It is becoming easier for the students to write with new books on the shelf. They make their photocopies and print them in the library. However, more computers are needed to enable the students to type their works by themselves. This can help them learn how to use the digital library, too.
RENOVATION
It was thrilling to have Chad Wagner visit NIATS on the 12th. We went around the school and assessed the level of things. It was clear that the hostel needs some painting and renovation. This is to enable the students to have more comfortable accommodation. The funds provided by Chad have since been put to use. Some old windows have been removed and new ones fitted. This is to keep mosquitoes away so that the students will not come down with malaria. There are also plans to secure a new borehole and get treated water for drinking. Where the rest of the windows are fitted, and the water is treated, then the students will rarely fall sick. The students are getting a level of comfort and the community is happy about it. Though there’s much to be done still, we are grateful for the step in the right direction.
CONCLUSION
We give God all the glory for another opportunity to fulfil the ministry. We are also thankful for the support from the Bear Valley family, Chad Wagner, and other congregations and individuals supporting the school. We shall continue to work hard and grow the school. Your prayers are highly coveted as we begin the new semester.

DIRECTOR (NIATS)
