ACTIVITY OPERATION REPORT FOR AUGUST 2026
Kenema Full Time and the Extended Programs
INTRODUCTION
It is safer to begin this report by acknowledging God’s generosity to us as an administration. For the past rainy month of August 2026, as an administration, we enjoyed God’s help as usual in all aspects. The staff and the students of the school continued to make significant efforts in promoting the aims and objectives of the institution, and more so, the will of God to win souls. The administration continued to enforce and maintain high standards in moral living, lesson delivery, sound doctrine, and evangelism. Moreover, through our regular devotional activities, the students are always reminded of the community in which they are – that which regards God and His word!
As we share this August 2026 report with you, we pray that you find time to go through it to the end. This report shall consider students’ updates, some conversions that were made during the course of the month, our proposed lectureship, our Agricultural project, and a profile of one of the students. Please follow us as we take you through. Let us begin with the students’ updates.
STUDENTS’ UPDATES
As you know, our three categories (2 full time classes and 1 extended class) of students at the Kenema campus progressed well in August 2026. As new students (especially the year one full time students and the part time students), they are coping with the rules and regulations of the school and the rigors of campus life away from their comfort zones. The senior full time students completed their fourth quarter in their first year; they officially progressed to the senior and final year class at the end of August. Meanwhile, the junior full time class progressed to the second quarter in their first year that began in May 2026. At the end of August, both classes were given a short one week break, and were expected to resume on September 7, 2026. On the other hand, the part-time students maintained their spot; they continued their first semester classes (they do not operate on a quarterly basis; they run through semesters. Each of their semesters covers 6 months and thereafter go for one or two weeks break). From all indications, God is helping our students maintain focus, thus your prayers are consistently and continuously required on our behalf.
CONVERSIONS RESULTING FROM STUDENTS’ AND STAFF EVANGELISM EFFORTS
As the school exists to train evangelists, every member of our family is focused on bringing men to Christ. Our week in week out internal and external evangelism mission schedule has been yielding fruits over the years. This has been helping to bring people to Christ, strengthen some weak congregations, and nurture some new ones. Therefore, at the end of August 2026, four (4) souls became saved.
CONVERSIONS RESULTING FROM ALUMNI EFFORT
Our graduates are also very busy on the field in carrying out the great commission. They have been doing this through evangelistic activities like campaigns, follow ups, visitations, lectureships, leadership and evangelism seminars, etc. They are involved in carrying out the Lord’s mandate in their various localities. Consequently, in August 2026, ten (10) souls were converted. Through their efforts.
CONVERSIONS RESULTING FROM THE EVANGELISTIC TEAMS EFFORTS
You are already aware of the active works of the evangelistic teams across the country. Therefore, their efforts resulted to forty two (42) conversions. Apart from those being saved, the teams kept on strengthening and nurturing the various congregations that they are in touch with.
OUR AGRICULTURAL PROJECT
School Agricultural Program: The school also encourages the students to be involved in agricultural activities. During the rainy season, the staff and students collectively engage in rice cultivation just to give the students new skills on how to grow rice and to reduce the cost of buying rice for at least 2 months. Thus, in August, we planted our rice in the swamp. We are also already preparing a place to plant cassava as soon as the dry season begins in November.
OUR PLANNED LECTURESHIP
Institutional lectureships usually help to address issues confronting the church, and our planned September lectureship is not an exception. We have planned a lectureship from September 23 -25, 2026 with the theme, “Building a Sustainable and an Evangelistically-Driven Church.” This program will draw again brethren across Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and possibly the United States of America. We have also invited those who are not even yet members of the Lord’s church so that they could be evangelized, and perhaps through that, they would become saved. All we can say now is that YOU ARE ALL INVITED TO THIS LECTURESHIP WHERE FELLOWSHIP WILL BE IGNITED, LOVE SHARED AND BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES BEING LEARNED TO GROW AS INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIANS. Please continue to pray for us as preparations are underway. We will also be praying for your safe journey as you are making your plans to attend.
A STUDENT’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY: Sylvester Nyuma
Let me introduce one of our freshmen in the year one full time program to you. He is Sylvester Nyuma, a 31 year old brother born on the 15th January, 1992 to Mr. Lamin Nyuma and Mrs. Sia Nyuma. He is the last born of his parents with three siblings. He has two sisters and one brother. He is from Yendeh village, Kissi Teng Chiefdom, Kailahun District, Eastern Sierra Leone.
Road to Christ: Prior to his conversion, Sylvester attended four different denominational churches. He recounted that in 2024, he was invited to Koindu, the major town in his chiefdom on a program. When he was there, a gospel tract was given to him by a preacher of the Lord’s church – Bro Anthony J. Yilliah. He revealed that the tract was very interesting, giving him the steps to salvation which he never knew in his life. He said after some time, he came back to Koindu to inquire more about the truth. It was there, the gospel was preached to him more earnestly and he wasted no time in giving his life to Christ. He was baptized on May February 5, 2024.
Role in the Church: After his conversion, Sylvester returned to his village – Yendeh. He desired that a congregation be established in his village, thus approached the evangelism teams that are around Koindu. Eventually, a congregation was established in his Yendeh village. Sylvester and the other disciples started worship and sometimes he would lead prayers or officiate on the Lord’s Table.
Road to Bear Valley Bible Institute: After he got converted, he wanted to seek more biblical knowledge but at the time they were constructing their church edifice so it was difficult for him to leave. Therefore, after the completion of their church auditorium, he began to enquire when the next admission would begin. Then, the Dean of Academic Affairs, bro Michael Triyoh went to their congregation and announced that admission was then in progress. He said he was very excited to receive the form. Then, after service one Sunday he rode with Bro Michael to Kenema where the school is located. He took the entrance examination and passed, and also was interviewed and gained admission in the school. Since his admission in the school, Brother Sylvester has been an encouragement to other students and the staff alike; we are indeed grateful to have him with us.
CONCLUSION
As I conclude this report, I want to say a big “Thank you” for reading through to the end. Thank you for your kindness. The lives you are changing in Sierra Leone here through your prayers, financial support, guidance and direction, are all duly acknowledged, and may the Lord bless you richly.
