Respected Director Keith Kasarjian, our Coordinator Mark Reynolds, and all our prayer partners,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We sincerely thank you for your continued encouragement, faithful prayers, and generous support for the Bear Valley Bible Institute Extension Center in Vidyanagar, Andhra Pradesh, India. Your partnership has been a tremendous blessing and has enabled the smooth operation of our part-time Bible school. We are grateful to God for this extension center, which provides valuable biblical education and training for gospel preachers serving in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh.
Location:-
Vidyanagar is situated in the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh, India, where many rural communities are spread across hundreds of villages.
Training Gospel Preachers in the Coastal Region:-
The villages surrounding Vidyanagar are home to numerous rural congregations that faithfully serve the Lord. However, many local gospel preachers are unable to attend full-time Bible schools because of their ministry responsibilities, family commitments, and financial limitations. This part-time Bible school has become a great blessing to these men. By attending weekend classes, they receive sound biblical training while continuing to serve their local congregations. They are able to apply what they learn immediately in their preaching, teaching, and leadership within their churches, strengthening the congregations throughout the coastal region.
Summer Children's Camp at Vidyanagar:- During the summer season, BVBI–Vidyanagar organized a Summer Children's Camp with the theme, "Joyful Obedience: Blessing the Little Ones." A total of 71 children from different rural congregations attended the camp. Most of the children were brought by the students studying at BVBI–Vidyanagar. The camp included Bible lessons, songs, memory verses, games, and other activities designed to help the children grow in their knowledge and love of God's Word. We thank God for this wonderful opportunity to minister to these young lives and request your prayers that the seeds of the Gospel planted in their hearts will bear lasting fruit.
Gospel Campaigns:- During the second quarter (April–June 2026), we conducted gospel campaigns in several villages, including Jangalapalli, Aruru, Poolathota, and other surrounding communities. Most of these campaigns were organized in villages where our BVBI students live and serve. These outreach efforts provided valuable opportunities to preach the gospel, strengthen the local congregations, and encourage our students in their ministry. We are thankful for the positive response from the people who attended these meetings and appreciate your continued prayers for the growth of these evangelistic efforts.
Teamwork:- Our BVBI has become a wonderful platform for developing outstanding gospel team workers. All of our students are learning to work together in unity and cooperation as they participate in gospel meetings, funeral services, evangelistic campaigns, and various ministry programs. This spirit of teamwork is helping them grow into faithful and effective servants of Christ who can work harmoniously with local congregations and fellow gospel preachers.
Local Church Involvement:- By the grace of God, the Vidyanagar Church of Christ continues to grow both spiritually and numerically. We are grateful to God that Elders and Deacons have been appointed to serve the congregation. We were honored to have ministers from Graymere Church of Christ witness this special occasion.
The local congregation has been a great source of encouragement to our ministry. We are especially thankful that the church has graciously provided its building free of charge for our BVBI weekend classes. This support has been a tremendous blessing and has contributed significantly to the effective operation of our Bible training program.
Goal for BVBI–Vidyanagar:-
India is a nation of villages, and many rural communities still need faithful gospel workers. Our goal at BVBI–Vidyanagar is to train and equip one sound gospel preacher to serve every 20 villages in our district. Through biblical education and practical ministry training, we seek to prepare dedicated men who will faithfully preach the gospel, strengthen local congregations, and help establish new churches where Christ is not yet known.
We humbly request your continued prayers for the Bear Valley Bible Institute, that it may continue to function effectively for the glory of God and in honor of Joe Barnett. Please pray that God will continue to bless this ministry as we train faithful gospel preachers to proclaim His Word and equip others to serve Him faithfully.
