First Year Complete in Bermuda

Bear Valley Bible Institute

Bermuda

The Bear Valley Bible Institute of Bermuda has now completed its first year. I cannot brag on the students enough for their dedication to the study of God’s word. The class meets for two hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays and again for four hours on Saturday. Most of the students work full-time jobs and have families, yet they and their families make the sacrifice to attend class. I teach many of the classes, but we also have Bear Valley teachers, Bermuda teachers, and teachers from the Trinidad school of preaching.

The local director, who is also an elder at the Brighton Hill congregation, is Keithlyn Fleming. In addition to all that he does for the school and the church, he works two jobs. Keithlyn helps keep the students motivated. The students just finished a course on Personal Evangelism. For their final, they had to write a study guide to use when teaching others. I hope to use their study guides in other areas once they are refined.

While the congregations in Bermuda are strong, the work is difficult. Because Bermuda is a wealthy island, many feel they do not need God. Our students are reaching out to show the importance of trusting God’s word rather than the word of man, man-made religions, or the riches of this world.

Pray for our students as they continue preparing to bring lost souls to Christ. It may be your prayer that opens the next door to a searching heart. (James 5:16)
