BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE LUSAKA
THIRD QUARTER REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2026
On behalf of the staff of Bear Valley Bible Institute Lusaka, I wish to convey our heartfelt greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is with great appreciation to God that we submit this Third Quarter Report for the year 2026. The report highlights the courses covered during the quarter, outreach and in-reach programmes, baptisms, and restorations.
COURSES COVERED
During the quarter under review, three courses were covered, focusing on the life and ministry of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. This brings the total number of courses covered by the Institute so far to ten (10).
A total of nineteen (19) students attended classes during the quarter under review.
OUTREACH PROGRAMMES
Evangelism in the Communities
During the third quarter of 2026, the staff and students of Bear Valley Bible Institute Lusaka undertook evangelistic activities in the surrounding communities of the Chunga Church of Christ.
The evangelistic exercise involved visiting some members who had fallen away from the faith, resulting in some of them being restored. The team also visited sick brethren, prayed with them, conducted Bible studies, and preached the Gospel to individuals and families.
Appointments and contacts made during the outreach exercise were submitted to the church leadership for further follow-up.
The exercise not only contributed to the numerical growth of the congregation but also strengthened the spiritual lives of the individuals and families visited.
Prison and Hospital Visitations
During the quarter under review, some of the students, particularly Brother Syalwindi Syakwasia and Brother Reymond Simunsanda, continued to preach to inmates and visited sick individuals admitted to local health facilities.
On 19 July 2026, the brothers, together with other brethren, donated groceries, food hampers, and pairs of footwear to the Lusaka Central Correctional Facility (Chimbokaila Prison). This donation followed the preaching of the Gospel and the baptism of twelve (12) inmates.
These activities provided an opportunity not only to meet some physical needs but also to share the Gospel and encourage incarcerated and sick individuals spiritually.
Namwianga Mission Annual Lectureship
From 3 to 7 July 2026, the instructors of Bear Valley Bible Institute Lusaka, namely Brother Kennedy Mukuka, Brother Obet Mozha, and myself, were privileged to participate as preachers at the 37th Namwianga Mission Annual Lectureship, held in Kalomo, approximately 350 kilometres from Lusaka.
The Lectureship was attended by more than two thousand (2,000) members from various congregations in Southern Province and was conducted under the theme:
“The Church: Shining the Light of Christ in a Dark World” (Ephesians 5:8).
The instructors participated as follows:
§ Brother Kennedy Mukuka taught on: “The Leadership That Reflects the Light of Christ.”
§ Brother Obet Mozha taught on: “The Power of Prayer in Dispelling Darkness.”
§ Jonah Siyanga taught on: “Reflecting Christ’s Character in a Corrupt Generation.”
The participation of the instructors from Bear Valley Bible Institute Lusaka in this important spiritual gathering demonstrates the growing recognition of the Institute and its contribution to the work of the Lord beyond Lusaka.
The response to the preaching and teaching of God's Word was encouraging, with several individuals responding to the Gospel through baptism and restoration. The figures are reflected in the sections on baptisms and restorations below.
