UPDATE ON BEAR VALLEY PLANTED CONGREGATIONS IN KASOA
This quarter, the Director visited various congregations planted by Bear Valley in Kasoa to assess their progress.
Church of Christ, Mankomeda
The Director visited Mankomeda Church of Christ, which is now two years old and led by Bear Valley alumnus Daniel Nkrumah. The congregation has about 35 members, excluding children. On the day of the visit, they were concluding a lesson on prayers, with an attendance of 16 adults and 18 children.
Church of Christ, Adom Estate
On May 25, 2025, the Director visited Adom Estate Church of Christ, which is led by Bear Valley alumnus Bro Kingsley Oti Junior. The preacher taught a lesson on the importance of not forsaking the assemblies of the saints. Three members who were baptized the previous week were recognized as brethren in the congregation. Attendance on the day was 50, including 15 children.
Church of Christ, Oklu – Nkwanta
The Director made a maiden visit to Oklu-Nkwanta Church of Christ on June 15, 2025. The church, which is one year old, is led by Bear Valley alumnus Frank Nyarko. On the day of the visit, Bro Nkrumah, also a Bear Valley alumnus, taught the congregation on how to prepare financially for the year ahead. Although it rained heavily, affecting attendance, the congregation has made progress, having secured a better worship space after previously worshipping in a classroom. However, they also require financial assistance to acquire a piece of land for the church.
BAPTISMS
We’re thrilled to report five (5) baptisms, a direct result of our students’ passionate commitment to spreading the Gospel. We pray that these new saints will persevere in the faith and remain steadfast until the end.
STUDENT PROFILE FOR THIS QUARTER: BRO SHADRACK ESSEL
Bro Shadrack Essel is a 29-year-old married man with no children. Born into the Church of Christ, he was baptized in August 2015 at Egewase Church of Christ, Breman Brakwa. He currently serves as an assistant preacher, supporting Preacher Damford Kofi Acquah in managing Kwansakrom Church of Christ, Agona Swedru.
Since joining Bear Valley Bible Institute in 2022, Bro Shadrack has seen significant improvements in his Biblical understanding and interpretation. His confidence in apologetic duties has grown, and he is now more equipped to defend the gospel. He remains determined to continue learning and sharing the gospel, both locally and beyond.
IN MEMORIAM: EMMANUEL YAW AMOO- GYIMAH
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear brother and faculty member, Emmanuel Yaw Amoo-Gyimah, on 20th June, 2025, after a period of illness. We pray for God’s peace and comfort to envelop his wife, Elizabeth, and the entire family. May his memory be a blessing to us all and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
CONCLUSION
We're deeply grateful to the Bear Valley Leadership and the Brotherhood for their unwavering guidance and generous support throughout the quarter. Your kindness and selflessness have been a huge blessing. May God richly bless and reward your sacrificial giving.
