Preparing preachers in Mombasa
Dear brethren,
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. We believe that this report finds you all well in the Lord. We are all doing well, and thanking God for His grace to us here. So far the students are happily getting more knowledge of the Bible, asking questions where necessary especially on what they counter outside classrooms. Since they face opposition from the Muslims, Pentecostals, Catholics et cetera, we commit to answering their questions and help them know how to give correct answers out there especially when doing evangelism or when discussing their faith in Christ with others. Truly, planting a seed though studies is important, and the students attest that they're truly inspired and challenged to do more - bit by bit, they will get there at the end of their course.
This quarter, the students have studied the book of Proverbs, Ephesians and Philemon, as well as Denominational Doctrines. Each time these lessons were presented, there was an excitement among the students. Indeed, we are happy that at least we are helping them and taking them to a whole new level every time a lesson is taught each Saturday.
The school schedule has not changed. We still begin our classes at eight in the morning and end them in the evening after eight hours every Saturday. so sar, class attendance has been good. Time keeping is important for each student to get good knowledge of the Bible in every lesson presented. However, some students did not manage to close the year with us as we hoped. Some dropped because of several reasons, and we have ended up with 8 students. Fluctuation of life, jobs etc have been the major reasons. We are still urging churches to bring us more students for their replacements. It is Sad to lose potential preachers. We hope to admit more next quarter to add to the current number. Evangelism this year has not been good.
We thank every person who has supported the work here at Bear Valley Mombasa in any way: physically and spiritually. God bless every hand that has supported the work here, and every mouth and heart that has been with us in prayer. For we know that without God, we cannot reach this far. May God be with you all as you continue in Him each day.
Please remember the school and Churches of Christ in prayer.
Shalom.
Yours faithfully.
Francis and Paul.
